Food Contamination Management

Below are some screen-captures of articles found on Epoch Times – regarding food contamination by heavy metals like arsenic, cadmium and lead. Heavy metal toxins have been found in chocolate and spices and baby food and rice and even plant-based protein powders. This contamination has been traced to the contaminated soil in which these plants were growing – which caused these plants to absorb these toxins.

Biblical Wisdom: Dealing with Soil Contamination

Leviticus 19:23–25 (NLT)
23 “When you enter the land and plant fruit trees, leave the fruit unharvested for the first three years and consider it forbidden. Do not eat it.
24 In the fourth year the entire crop must be consecrated to the LORD as a celebration of praise.
25 Finally, in the fifth year you may eat the fruit. If you follow this pattern, your harvest will increase. I am the LORD your God.

The scripture above speaks of how the Jewish Torah forbid the Jews from eating of fruit trees for the first three years of production. The roots of these trees were pulling toxins like heavy metals out of the soil – so Jewish farmers let this contaminated fruit fall to the ground for the first three years of production. This fallen contaminated fruit was then carried off by cleaner species of animals (like wild pigs). It is amazing that these instructions were recorded in the bible thousands of years before the invention of modern testing equipment that we now have for testing food products for toxins – like heavy metals.

Dark chocolate and cinnamon and turmeric are all full of healthy nutrients. However, it has been found that many of these products also contain lead and other heavy metal toxins. Many spice plants and cocoa plants are included among those plants which pull toxins and heavy metal from the soil. The problem is not these health-beneficial plants themselves but rather the problem lies with the contaminated soils they are growing in. If these plants are grown overseas in nations without any health code regulations – then there is a greater chance of contamination. Therefore, the potential health benefits provided by these plants for humans is largely negated by heavy metal toxins they contain – which can cancel out the otherwise healthy nutrients found in these plant products.

Above is an AI image of an aquaponics plant growth system – where the roots of the plants are suspended within a water/nutrient solution without soil. The great advantage of growing food for humans and livestock within an aquaponics plant growth system is that the plants cannot absorb any heavy metal toxins – when they are grown within a purified substrate such as a clean water/nutrient solution or purified soil or clean sand. Plants grown within a controlled and toxin-free system cannot absorb heavy metal toxins so the food grown within this controlled system is be safe for human consumption. Fodder for livestock can also be grown within a sanitary plant growth system so that the meat we serve to our people will also be free from heavy-metal toxins. Technology can be used to grow plants within a controlled environment so that all of our food sources will all be without chemicals and without toxins or heavy metals of any kind.
