Man Skills Equals Survival Skills
The frequent persecution of the Jews taught them the importance of imparting trade skills to their own sons so that they could always feed themselves by honest labor. Knowledge was something that no one could take away from them and it could feed them even if everything else was taken from them.
Acts 18:3 (NASB95)
3 and because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and they were working, for by trade they were tent-makers.
The father of Apostle Paul was Jewish and he saw to it that his son had some form of trade skills by which he could feed himself. Paul was apprenticed out as a youth to learn the trade of tent making. In those times people such as travelers and shepherds and soldiers often lived in tents. Therefore the ability to make tents was in great demand and if a man had such skills he could always feed himself.

2 And he found a Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, having recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla, because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome. He came to them,
Jewish hatred has existed ever since they became a nation of people at the Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt until present times. Jews are God’s chosen people and this is why there is a satanic hatred expressed toward them by godless people all over the world. During the New Testament era, the emperor of Rome (Claudius) expelled all of the Jews from his city. This sort of thing happened often because wicked people blamed the Jews for the problems they themselves had created. Often Jews had to flee with only what they could carry. But if they could carry their tools and their own trade skill knowledge then they could start over again in any location.
This is why it is important for fathers to see to it that their sons have the man skills they need to feed themselves under any situation. Live is not easy and no one will give them anything for free. If they have the knowledge to make money by honest labor they will never go hungry.
Man Skills Training Program
We do not live in a perfect world, so there are many men who did not have a good male mentoring program during their youth. Therefore we plan to develop a adult-level training program that provides a “crash-course” to impart all of the basics that are found within our boy training programs from age 3-19. But this man-skills training program will be taught at an “adult level” and be greatly shortened in order to give these adult males all of the skills that they need to fulfill their God-given roles as men to become leaders and providers and protectors of their own family units. We will try to give them everything they need as fast as possible. While they may have missed out on good male mentoring programs in their own youth, they can however have good hope that their own sons will have a better life and better opportunities than they themselves had in their adult life.
