Social Work Failure

Much can be said about social works but a reminder should be made about the sin nature of humans that tend to pollute even good thing like social works.

Genesis 3:4-5 (NASB)

4 The serpent said to the woman, “You surely will not die!

5 “For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Satan tempted Eve to eat of the forbidden tree by telling her that she could become like God. In fact, this is the very sin which resulted in the expulsion of Satan from heaven when he attempted to become like God himself.

Isaiah 14:12-14 (NASB)

12 “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations!

13 “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.

14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’

Satan was at one time called Lucifer and he was created with great beauty but he became profane and proud and sought to exalt himself above everyone else and even sought to make himself like the Most High God! This is outrageous vanity and pride and this sin of pride caused Lucifer to be expelled from heaven and cast to the earth where he became Satan or the devil and the tempter. He sought to tempt Eve to reach out for equality with God and she fell into the same transgression as the devil did.

It is the sin nature of Eve (which is inherited by all women) which causes an inherit weakness for them to want to assume the role of God toward others. It is for this reason there are many women involved in social works whose only purpose is not to help the poor but rather to garner human attention and praise for being a “do-gooder” person. They in fact have the sin nature of Eve evident within them when they love to assume the role of being God by playing the part of a “provider” for the poor. Typically, they do not provide any lasting solutions for the poor but only like to take “photo-shoots” to glorify themselves and how “good” they are for feeding the poor!

The forbidden tree in the garden was called the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Genesis 2:9 (KJV)

9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was the knowledge of human good and human evil. In fact, “human-good” sends more people to hell than “human-evil” because it has a false appearance of being “good” and creates a false sense of “self-righteousness” which only serves to keep people from true repentance and this is what sends them to hell.

Genesis 2:17 (NIV)

17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

God said that the day that they would eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was the day that they would die spiritually. Eve was the first to eat of this tree and after she had already died spiritually then she offered the forbidden fruit to her husband Adam. Apparently, Adam did not want to be separated from his wife Eve so he willfully at the fruit and died together with her. So, this is the first case of a woman assuming leadership over a man and this brought a curse to the entire earth.

Until today whenever women yield to the fallen sin nature of Eve within them, they will seek to assume leadership over men and they will also display their sin nature by trying to assume the role of God by standing in the place of being a “provider” for the poor.

See the link “The Sin Nature of Eve” for more details.

This is why there is so much corruption and evil involving social works where women love to be a “provider” for the poor because it makes them feel like a god! This greatly boosts their own feeling of self-righteousness and they typically can harvest a great deal of praise from humans who tell them what a “good-person” they are for feeding the poor.

But if they really were concerned about the poor they would try to provide a lasting solution to their poverty rather than just doing a “photo-shoot” several times a year for their own self-glorification as a “provider” to the poor?

A Lasting Solution to Social Work

If someone was really serious about providing a lasting solution to social works (rather than just seeking self-glorification as a “do-gooder” person) then they could simply apply God’s laws of seedtime and harvest which would provide a lasting income for the poor.

The Law of Seedtime and Harvest

God has created natural laws to govern the universe and one of these laws is the law of seedtime and harvest. This law is no respecter of persons and it applies to anyone in any country regardless of race or skin color. It is like the natural law of gravity which is also no respecter of persons and anyone who jumps from a high place anywhere on earth will all fall to their deaths! These are universal laws which apply to everyone on earth!

The law of seedtime and harvest is the principle which God has applied during the time of creation. In the beginning God created all of the vegetation and plants and animals and then endowed both plant and animal life with the power of procreation.

Genesis 1:11-12 (NIV)

11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.

12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

All plant life has seed within itself meaning that it can produce seeds for reproduction. All plant life on earth today is descended from the original plant life first created by God in the beginning. All plants can reproduce after their own kinds so people have had plants to eat in every generation since the time of Adam until present time.

Genesis 1:24-25 (NIV)

24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so.

25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

God also made the animals and gave them the power of procreation to reproduce after their own kind. Every animal species that exists today on earth are descendants of the first animal life that God created in the beginning.

The earth has the power of procreation to repopulate both plant and animal life and provide food for humans in every generation that has ever lived upon the earth since the time of Adam. This power of procreation can produce food for every generation of future humans are yet to live. It is a law and a system for creating unlimited food supplies regardless of how many people live upon the earth.

With modern agriculture technology the United States alone could produce enough food to feed the whole world! This is all made possible by the application of God’s laws of seedtime and harvest.

These laws also have application for finances because making an investment is like planting seed. Money can procreate the same as plants and animals through the power of investment. If someone wants to have prosperity in their future, they must save seed for investment. If they consume their seed however, they will come to nothing in their future.

The same is true of a farmer who saves seed for planting so he will have a future harvest. If he consumes his last seed then that will be the last meal he will ever eat. If a person consumes their last money, then that will be the last money they will have because they destroyed their own future by consuming their last seed.

These principles were taught to Abraham by God and then Abraham taught these principles to his son Isaac and Isaac taught them to his son Jacob and this knowledge was spread to the twelve sons of Jacob. If every man taught their own sons, then the entire Jewish race would have knowledge of the law of seedtime and harvest.

Genesis 31:38 (NIV)

38 “I have been with you for twenty years now. Your sheep and goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks.

Jacob justified himself to Laban saying that he did not even eat the rams of his flocks. The excess rams were the only animals that a shepherd could eat because the shepherds had to preserve the female livestock for reproduction. They only needed to keep one breeding male for many ewes so the excess rams could be sold for cash or consumed as food. This principle of not eating the females was part of the revelation about the laws of seedtime and harvest that was taught to Jacob by his father Isaac. As long as he did not consume the females then they could continue to multiply and his prosperity would increase over time.

Genesis 26:12-14 (NIV)

12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.

13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.

14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him.

Isaac also followed the law of seedtime and harvest and always saved seed for planting and saved finances for investments and did not consume his female livestock. As long as he followed these laws then he would continue to multiply in prosperity every year.

By saving money to buy more oxen and hire more workers Isaac could plow more acres of land and plant more acres of crops for a greater harvest. With a greater harvest he would be able to feed more workers and buy more land and more oxen and plant more acres each year. So, this was “progressive prosperity” and the bible says that Isaac became rich and his wealth continued to grow annually until he became exceedingly wealthy.

Isaac had so many flocks and herds and workers that the Philistines envied him. The Philistines could have done the same thing but typically those who are ignorant of God’s laws will consume all of their seed and come to poverty in their own future!

Genesis 17:1-6 (NIV)

1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.

2 I will confirm my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”

3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him,

4 “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations.

5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations.

6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.

God first taught the law of seedtime and harvest to Abraham and told Abraham that he would multiply him exceedingly. Abraham had only one son Isaac who had Jacob who had twelve sons which become the twelves tribes of Israel.

Genesis 18:18-19 (NIV)

18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.

19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”

God promised that he would make Abraham into a great and powerful nation so that all nations of the earth would be blessed by his own descendants through Isaac the promised child born to Sarah.

Exodus 12:37 (NIV)

37 The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Succoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.

When the children of Israel came out of Egypt (after 430-years of slavery) there was over 600,000 male heads of households. This number did not include the women and children because the women were one-person together with their own husbands and their offspring were under the authority of the head of household. So, there was over 600,000 (a round whole number) of Jewish families that came out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses.

Abraham had one promised son Isaac and Isaac had Jacob who also had twelve sons. These twelve sons multiplied (over a period of 430-years) to become over 600,000 families which was a population large enough to be considered a nation of people. Through this nation God brought salvation to all of the nations on earth and released the knowledge of God as revealed to Moses on Mount Sinai through the Jews.

Genesis 22:17-18 (NIV)

17 I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies,

18 and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

God multiplied the descendants of Abraham to become so numerous that counting their population was like trying to count sand on the seashore! All of these people came from one promised son Isaac and through his descendants the Jews.

Humans like plants and animals and finances all possess the power of procreation and the billions of inhabitants on earth today all descended from the first man Adam and his wife Eve. All that is required for procreation is time and humans can be multiplied exceedingly generation after generation on earth!

This is how the only son of Abraham become a nation with millions of people! It is because of the law of seedtime and harvest and procreation of species to fill the earth.

Law of Seedtime and Harvest Still in Effect

The law of seedtime and harvest is still in effect and operational on this earth. It applies to plants and animals and marine life and humans and also to finances.

Genesis 6:17-21 (NIV)

17 I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.

18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark–you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.

19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.

20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.

21 You are to take every kind of food that is to be eaten and store it away as food for you and for them.”

When God destroyed the earth with a flood, he preserved two of every kind of land animal on the ark both a male and a female of every species. Noah and his three sons and their wives were the seed for preserving the human race.

Genesis 9:7-10 (NIV)

7 As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.”

8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:

9 “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you

10 and with every living creature that was with you–the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you–every living creature on earth.

God told Noah and his sons and their wives to come out of the ark and be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth with the human race. The animals and birds and livestock all came out of the ark and they multiplied (each species after their own kind).

This is a reflection of the law of seedtime and harvest which governs all animal and plant life and humans upon the earth. Those who know and understand how this law operates can obtain predicable results for their own future and for their own prosperity. This law works for plants and livestock as well as for finances.

When Social Work Consumes its Own Seed

I have seen numerous social projects in operation all over the world and typically they all follow the same routine of coming to zero balance and they completely ignore God’s laws of seedtime and harvest. In fact, most poor people on earth are poor because of violating these very laws. Whenever they consume their seed, they are in fact consuming their future prosperity. If they would faithfully follow the laws of seedtime and harvest, they could experience steady increase every year just as Isaac also experienced by following these laws.

The biggest mistake of social work organizations is that when they raise money for the poor, they then proceed to spend that money on consumables like food. This is equal to consuming their seed and in the long-run they will always come to zero balance.

For example, there was an orphanage in Egypt run by a woman who was bold in fund-raising for feeding the orphans. So, she had to raise funds continually because everything she received was consumed in food as soon as she received it. It was a never-ending fund-raising project for this reason.

But if the same woman would have used the money to purchase a cow instead of spending it on milk to feed the children, then it would have been a long-term solution. Even the cow has the potential to procreate and make more cows so that there could be a supply of fresh milk for future orphans. A dairy cow can produce over ten-gallons of milk per day and a herd of cows could provide enough dairy products to feed an entire orphanage. In fact, a herd of dairy cows could produce so much milk that they can pay for the labor and feed and dairy equipment and have a large surplus of milk to be sold for cash which could also be used for orphanage expenses. The dairy farm could also provide employment for orphan boys working on that farm. Thus, using the same amount of money to buy a dairy cow instead of spending it on consumables like milk could provide a long-term solution to feeding the orphans.

I also know of a so-called ministry that would fill a large truck with frozen turkeys to give away to the poor every Christmas and Thanksgiving holiday. The people running this program seemed to think that poor people only need to eat twice a year. They would then proceed to give frozen turkeys to homeless people who had no oven to cook the meat and no refrigerator to store the meat. So, these homeless people would typically try to trade the frozen turkey for a pack of cigarettes or some alcohol. At the end of the day these social workers running this program had nothing left but an empty truck. They had consumed a huge budget of money received by fund raising for a social project that was literally worthless!

This is yet another example of social work organizations consuming their seed because they used the money (which they received by fund raising) to purchase consumables and thus they always came to zero and had nothing left when it was all done. It would have been better to take money raised in fund raising to invest in a turkey farm which could provide employment and a continual large supply of meat for the poor.

This principle has numerous applications but the point is that when donations are given for social works then that money should never be spent on consumables. Instead the money should be used for an investment fund which could be used to purchase assets like land or livestock or machinery needed to produce food and create employment for the poor. Giving a poor man a job can feed him for life but a frozen turkey twice a year is not going to help him in the least bit!

If a businessman donates to a social project, he would much rather have his funds go toward the purchase of a producing asset rather than toward a consumable. If the money is spent on consumables his money is just being wasted because there is no end to human appetite and they will just consume all that they are given and ask for more. A lasting solution is to invest in some sort of enterprise that can generate income and grow food or livestock needed to sustain poor people.

Giving to an investment fund for purchase of assets is something lasting in nature. The funds for a dairy farm can be repaid to the investment account by the profits made and so the cycle of investment can be continued. This type of logic follows the principle of seedtime and harvest because everything produces after its own kind (including money). If they use money for investments, they can produce more money and the profits can be used to help the poor in a perpetual manner.

It is foolish to accuse a businessman of being greedy for making a profit when those profits can be used to provide lasting assistance for the poor and create employment for them.

All wealth on earth must be created. Farmers grow crops and livestock for food and businessmen generate wealth by starting business enterprises. But this process of investment and wealth-generation ceases as soon as the people spend the money on consumables instead of investing it.

If a farmer ate his last seed, he would have no harvest in the future. If a chicken farmer ate his last chicken that would be the last meal he would ever eat! The same is also true if someone spends their last money on consumables instead of investing it. This is why they come to zero balance continually and then they are unable to meet the continual needs and hunger of the poor.

But if the law of seedtime and harvest is applied then food and livestock and wealth and employment can be created for the poor in a lasting manner. It is all about not consuming their seed but rather saving investment capital to create a business enterprise capable of meeting human needs in a lasting way.

The law of seedtime and harvest has the potential to feed the whole population of planet earth. But if social workers continue to spend their donations received on consumables, they will only come to nothing. Donations should be placed in an investment account and be used to purchase a cow instead of milk. They can be used to buy land to grow food instead spending on groceries. This principle has many applications but consuming their seed will not produce any lasting help for the poor in the future.

But then again most social work organizations do not seem to care about helping the poor as much as they care about gleaning “human praise” for being a good person and standing in the role of a “provider” to the poor. If they really cared about helping the poor then they would drop the program of raising money only to spend it all on consumables without saving anything for investments.
