Giving and Kingdom Finances

The teaching about giving and kingdom finances would not be complete without teaching about motives of the heart. When teaching on the subject of giving human heart motives are everything! If giving is done with impure motives then the giver can reap a curse instead of a blessing. It is therefore vital to address human heart motives in giving before commencing with the subject matter related to giving.

Tare-Preachers are Impostors in the Pulpit

Matthew 13:24-30 (7KB)

24 Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good wheat seed in his field.

25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares (toxic darnel weeds) among the wheat, and went away.

26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the tares (toxic darnel weeds) also appeared.

27 “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good wheat seed in your field? Where then did the tares (toxic darnel weeds) come from?’

28 “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull up the tares?’

29 “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the tares (toxic darnel weeds), you may root up the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time, I will tell the harvesters: First collect the tares (toxic darnel weeds) and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'”

Many believe that the tares referred to in this parable are toxic darnel weeds because toxic-darnel usually grows in the same production zones as wheat and is a serious weed menace for wheat producers. This weed seed is toxic to both humans and livestock and when humans ingest toxic darnel seeds in low doses, they can become nauseous and dizzy and sick. If people ingest too much of the darnel seed toxin it can result in death.

Often the parables use natural illustrations such as the use of tares (toxic Darnel) to teach people about spiritual truths. In the case of teaching on the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” this also has application to the tares as being false preachers sowed among those who represent the ministry.

2 Corinthians 4:2 (7KB)

2 Indeed, we refuse to make use of shameful underhanded methods, employing deception or distorting God’s message in deceitful manner. On the contrary, by making very clear what the truth is, we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God.

This scripture speaks of using shameful and underhanded methods in teaching God’s word in a deceitful manner. This type of behavior distinguishes the tare-preachers who were sown by the devil among those who stand in the pulpit for public ministry.

Spirit of the message more important than the message itself

When a tare-preacher teaches on the subject of giving it will invariably produce offense. This is because his teaching is being presented from an evil heart motive of greed. Such a tare-preacher does not care about helping people improve their lives or in securing eternal rewards but only wants to use the scriptures deceitfully to gain money for himself. Therefore, a tare-preacher can quote all of the same scriptures as a real-preacher on the subject of giving but there is a bad-spirit attached to his message which causes “offense” in the hearts of the listeners. In this respect, the spirit of message when is more important than the message itself!

If a tare-preacher delivers a message from an evil heart motive then his message will be polluted by a bad spirit (which is attached to that message). If a congregation of people are turned-off to giving this can have detrimental eternal consequences for them and this is the reason why Satan sows tare-preachers among those who stand in a public pulpit ministry. Tare-preachers are in fact “demonic-tools” used to cause offense and turn people off to important biblical truths (such as the subject of giving)!

Matthew 13:36-43 (7KB)

36 Then he left the crowd and went into the house. His disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the tares (toxic darnel weeds) sown into the wheat field.”

37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good wheat seed is the Son of Man (who dispersed Fivefold Ministry Gifts unto men).

38 The field is the world, and the good wheat seed represents the sons of the kingdom who are called into the Fivefold Ministry. The tares (toxic darnel weeds) are the sons of the evil one sown as false ministers (who have toxic fruit which produces eternal death),

39 and the enemy who sows these false tare-ministers is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

40 “As the tares (toxic darnel weeds) are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all these false tare-ministers that offend, and all those who practice lawlessness,

42 They will throw these false tare-ministers (and those who follow them) into the fiery furnace of hell, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then the righteous real “wheat-type” of Fivefold ministers (and those who follow them) will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Jesus explained the parable of the tares and clearly stated that these toxic weeds were sown by the devil. In the end times the angels of God will be sent out and they will pull up and weed out and remove all those who offend and practice lawlessness.

Matthew 13:41 (7KB)

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all these false tare-ministers that offend, and all those who practice lawlessness,

It should be noted that the first ones on the list to be pulled up as toxic weeds are those who cause offense. This can be no better illustrated than by those who are tare-preachers which cause offense against the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” by using the scriptures related to “giving” in deceitful manner. Turning people off to giving to God can have detrimental results for those listeners who are offended at the “Giving-Doctrine” as taught by tare-preachers. Also those who are “lawless” has application to those who break God’s laws (commanding to honor the Lord with a tenth part of their increase). Offending people and turning them off to giving will result in detrimental eternal effects for those poisoned against the doctrine of giving.

I know of a congregation that was so offended at the teaching about giving that they would all leave if the word “Giving” was even mentioned! That church later closed down because the people were so offended and turned off by a tare-preacher who poisoned their minds against this subject of giving until the church was forced to close down for lack of support.

This type of thing is commonplace and the number of tare-preachers that Satan sowed among those who stand in a pulpit ministry may be as numerous as the number of toxic Darnel weeds found in all of the wheat fields in every continent of earth combined!

Again, it must be emphasized that the spirit of the message is more important than the message itself. If a tare-preacher uses all of the same scriptures as a real-preacher but he turns the people off to the subject of giving (and causes lasting offense in their hearts) then this can do the people eternal harm. The subject of giving is critical for people to prosper on earth and to lay away eternal rewards in heaven. In fact, if people have no knowledge of this vital subject, they can make themselves enemies of God by holding onto something that belongs to God!

It is for this reason I must speak about the human motives of the heart and how they relate to the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances!” Evil motives can be found both in the heart of a tare-preacher giving the message about giving and also bad motives can be present in the hearts of the listeners as well. If the human heart motives are pure and right however the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” can result in great blessings for the people both on earth and in the afterlife to come.

Distinguishing Between the Real and Tare-Preachers

It is of vital importance that a believer be able to distinguish between a tare-preacher sown by the devil and a real-preacher who is called by God into the Fivefold Ministry. The only way to tell them apart is by the fruit in which they produce. The tare-weeds in fact look much like real wheat except that the seeds of the tares are toxic and the grain of wheat is nutritious for making flour for bread. The two plants look largely the same but only the seeds are different. In the same way the tare-preachers look much the same as real preachers of the Fivefold Ministry except that the tare-preachers have bad fruit.

Matthew 7:15-20 (7KB)

15 “Beware of the false ministers, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Can people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?

17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 So you will recognize them by their fruit.

A real Fivefold minister called by God will seek to help people improve in their lives and put their lives in order and help them to qualify for entering into the kingdom of heaven. A tare-preacher however has no such concern and it is evident even in the subject matter which he preaches.

A tare-preacher will teach on positive thinking while a real preacher will teach on faith in God. These subjects may sound similar on the surface but one is of human origin and the other points people to have faith in God (and there is a world of difference between the two).

A tare-preacher will give success motivation talks like a football coach giving a pep-talk to a team telling them they can do it! A real preacher will turn people toward having faith in God who can do all things rather than trusting in their own natural strength or leaning on their own human understanding.

A tare-preacher gives people what they want to hear but a real Fivefold minister preacher will give them the truth of God’s word. An example of this is that Satan has different flavors of religion for every type of human. For many businessmen they like to belong to a dignified social club run by a activity director with a Doctor of Divinity degree. Tare-preachers running such operations will commonly resort to flattery to get businessmen to give money and will hang donor plagues on the wall and have reserved seating for big donors and any other means of flattering rich men for their donations.

The demonic flavor to attract young people is to have entertainment so the devil will have tare-preachers with a Christian band and musicians to hold concerts at every church service. This results in thousands of young people in attendance who want to hear Christian music.

But these things are doing nothing to help people put their lives in order, to forsake idols of their hearts or to qualify them for heaven.

People engage in self-deception when they determine to support those tare-preachers who give them the flavor of religion that they want!

If housewives do not want to submit to their husbands, they can always find preachers with books that tell them what they want to hear and which promote “gender-equality” just like the world’s system (instead of submitting to their male authority as God has commanded).

Sowing into Toxic Soil

Whenever people give finances to a tare-preacher they are in fact sowing into toxic soil and this will reap a curse for them instead of a blessing. This is best illustrated by the Chernobyl nuclear accident that resulted in a release of radiation into the environment. Everything that grows within the contamination zone is toxic for humans to eat. Any wildlife or livestock grown in this area are toxic for humans to eat and any fish in the waters found in this area are all toxic for humans to eat. Every plant or fruit tree or crop that produces grain or fruit or vegetables are all toxic to humans.

In the same way that planting crops in toxic soil can produce a curse so the same is true for giving money into a fake tare-preacher’s ministry which also produces a curse. This is because if someone sows finances into the false ministry of a tare-preacher they will reap a curse instead of a blessing. Sowing into bad toxic soil is the same as giving into a bad ministry that is not ordained by God. This is like sowing seed into the Chernobyl toxic soil which will result in reaping a curse of toxic harvest for those who do this. In the same way sowing into cursed ground spiritually will also cause a curse for the giver instead of a blessing.

Matthew 7:16 (7KB)

16 You will recognize them by their fruit. Can people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?

Jesus said that these false tare-preachers will be recognized by their fruit because people do not pick grapes from thorn bushes and figs from thistles. Weed or tare-preachers do not produce anything of value for the people who support them. They only exist to create a livelihood for themselves by giving the people what they want. They are no better than an owner of a bar or a disco or a social club that gives people entertainment or a feeling of social-status or sense of group belonging in exchange for their money.

Again, a real Fivefold Ministry Gift of Apostle or Prophet will set the lives of people in order and bring divine order to their homes and will expose and rebuke sin and cause holiness in their lives. This is the good fruit of a real Fivefold Ministry Gift.

See the link “Fivefold Ministry Gifts” for more details.

But there are vast numbers of tare-preachers that exist in the public pulpit ministry throughout the whole world. These tare-preachers only seek to give the people what they want so they can use them to create a livelihood for themselves. They are not concerned if these people go to heaven and do not even have a thought of themselves going to hell together with the congregations that follow them! Everything is focused only on the present time frame and they have no regard for the future or preparing people for eternity.

Again, this is of vital importance to the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” because if people sow finances to tare-preachers they will reap a curse instead of a blessing.

Matthew 6:2 (7KB)

2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.

Jesus called attention to the fact that when people were giving to the poor, they would have trumpets blown to call attention to themselves before they would drop their money into the offering box. They wanted everyone to see how much money that they were giving! This is a blatant example of someone harvesting human attention in return for their donations. Jesus clarified that such people had their reward in full because the only reward they would ever receive was human attention. Most certainly they would have no reward from God for their giving because they called attention to themselves in this manner.

Yet wealthy businessmen belonging to a dignified social-club denominational churches will frequently seek to be praised by humans and have recognition for their giving. It is obvious by the scripture above that these men will have no reward in heaven for their giving because it was nothing but a solicitation for human praise.

Whatever is done for human praise has no reward from God including giving finances. This is a key and vital aspect of the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” because if people want rewards in heaven, they cannot seek to harvest human attention for their giving on earth.

Acts 5:1-11 (7KB)

1 Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property.

2 With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God.”

5 When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened.

6 Then the young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

7 Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.

8 And Peter responded to her, “Tell me whether you sold the land for such and such a price?” And she said, “Yes, that was the price.”

9 Then Peter said to her, “Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.

10 And immediately she fell at his feet and breathed her last, and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

11 And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things.

In this biblical account, a man and his wife were both struck dead by God because of trying to harvest human attention in the church! This should be a warning to all about giving to God with wrong motives! Ananias wanted to appear to be more sacrificial in his giving than he actually was so he lied about how much they kept at home and said that they gave the whole amount to the church. The man could have kept as much or as little as he liked but he wanted to harvest more human praise for appearing to be more sacrificial than he really was. His wife also agreed to the “ruse” and said the same thing when questioned about it and so both of them died on the same day!

Human Motives in Giving

It is not a sin to give money to the church but it was a sin to lie and deceive trying to harvest human praise for the giving. Again, it is obvious that the human motives for giving are more important that the giving itself!

Mark 12:41-44 (7KB)

41 And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums.

42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.

44 for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.”

Ananias and his wife must have been familiar with the words of our Lord who said that the poor widow gave more in the offering box than did the rich men. This widow gave everything she had in sacrificial manner while the rich men only gave out of their surplus while keeping plenty for themselves at home!

It is this principle that caused Ananias and his wife to imagine that what they kept at home had value in making them look more sacrificial before the people. So, they lied about how much they kept at home and said that they gave it all! This was a foolish and stupid move that cost them their lives! God looks at the motives of the heart when people give and if they are giving for human praise, they will have no reward in heaven from God for their donations!

Also, if a businessman gives a big donation to a social club church (and he expects that he will immediately be offered a position on the board of that church) then his donation just bought himself a seat of control. That is giving with impure motives and such a man will have “zero” rewards in heaven for his donation. Such a donation is only buying a position of control within that fake church.

If men give for human attention or for control or out of competition to give more than others then all of these are evil motives that render his gift meaningless and God will give them no eternal rewards for any gifts given out of evil heart motives.

Therefore, the motives of the heart are always more important than the gift itself because human motives determine if the giver will have a reward from God or a curse instead!

Telling Them What They Want to Hear

1 Kings 22:6 (7KB)

6 So the king of Israel brought together the prophets–about four hundred men–and asked them, “Shall I go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain?” “Go,” they answered, “for the Lord will give it into the king’s hand.”

The king of Israel brought together 400-false prophets and they all with one accord prophesied that the king would have success in his coming battle! It is obvious that these men were all on the payroll of the king and they told the king exactly what he wanted to hear!

This is another identifying trait of a false tare-preacher because they tell people what they want to hear and they give people what they want to have. They are hirelings who will do anything for money and seek to please the people just to keep the donations coming. Never do they rebuke or expose sin or correct evil motives with biblical teaching. It is all about flattery of humans for money and giving them what they want to hear.

1 Kings 22:7 (7KB)

7 But Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there not a prophet of the LORD here whom we can inquire of?”

But Jehoshaphat the king of Judah asked if there was a real prophet, they could inquire of rather than this bunch of hireling false prophets of Ahab!

1 Kings 22:17 (7KB)

17 Then Micaiah told him, “In a vision I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, like sheep without a shepherd. And the LORD said, ‘Their master has been killed. Send them home in peace.’”

Only one real prophet predicted that Ahab would be killed in battle and that is exactly what happened. It did not matter that Ahab hired 400-false prophets to tell him what he wanted to hear because a majority does not make anything right!

This is an example of human self-deception and fake tare-pastors will typically give people what they want and tell them only what they want to hear. But those who support a fake pastor will end up in hell together with the one they are following. They gain nothing at all from living in self-deception and gratifying only human desires during their time on earth. If they do not repent, they will expend their entire lives on earth living in deception and then spend eternity in hell! It is better for them to be honest and quit playing games and stop supporting a false tare-preachers who only flatter them for their money!

This subject is of vital importance because these is no reward from God for supporting fake tare-preachers (sown by Satan) and their fake ministry of pleasing humans without regard for God and without regard for eternal things!

Analogy of Toxic Darnel Seeds

This has application to our teaching about tare-preachers because tares (toxic Darnel weeds) produce toxic seeds that if ingested will cause humans to be sick and nauseous and dizzy. If too much Darnel seed toxin is ingested it can even cause death.

In the same way, the people who blindly follow the program of a tare-preacher are behaving as if they are dizzy and blind or drugged as they proceed toward their own eternal damnation like a intoxicated mad-man driving with great speed toward a cliff! If they do not wake up and repent it will result in their own eternal destruction. Supporting a false tare-preacher is like getting intoxicated and dizzy from Darnel seeds and this will only produce a curse for them in the end!

It is of vital importance that people sow only into good soil of those who are real Fivefold ministers rather that fake tare-preachers sown among those who stand in a public pulpit ministry. Those who are tare-preachers are emissaries of Satan and they only serve to bring the people that follow them into hell.

Spiritual things are no joke and neither is the subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” which has great eternal implications if the listeners either give into good soil of a real Fivefold Minister or else give into cursed ground of a fake tare-preacher.

Giving and Kingdom Finances

Malachi 3:8-12 (7KB)

8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ “In tithes and offerings.

9 You are under a curse–the whole nation of you–because you are robbing me.

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit,” says the Lord Almighty.

12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

This is a scripture that is common to the teaching about “Giving and Kingdom Finances” but it clarifies that God requires humans to give. God states that the failure for humans to give is tantamount to robbing God! It is for this reason that this subject of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” has great effect upon the eternal destiny of humans. If people are turned off to giving by a tare-preacher they will stop giving and become robbers of God. If they give to tare-preachers instead of to a real Fivefold Ministry Levite they will reap a curse instead of a blessing from God! This is why this teaching has eternal consequences for those who either give to (or refuse to give to) God’s kingdom upon the earth.

1 Corinthians 12:28 (7KB)

28 And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers…

This scripture makes it clear that it was God who placed Apostles and Prophets and Teachers into the ministry. These men did not appoint themselves but instead they were appointed by God for the work of the ministry. The Apostles and Prophets and Teachers are the top three ministry gifts of importance and giving should be primarily directed toward these three ministry gifts for the givers to receive a full blessing from God.

Acts 13:2 (7KB)

2 While they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

It was the Holy Spirit who separated both Apostle Paul and Barnabas for the work of the ministry. They did not send themselves and they were not sent out by humans but only by God who gifted them and sent them out for the work of the ministry.

This is in great contrast to the tare-preachers who are those who replace Apostles and Prophets by fulfilling the roles of being success motivation teachers or football coach-type of pep-talk leaders or social club directors. The kingdom of the world is run not by Apostles and Prophets and this is the reason these fake preachers are not building the kingdom of God but only building human kingdoms on earth.

See the link “Escape from Christendom” which is a spiritual analogy which depicts commercialized Christianity just as is currently run by fake tare-preachers.

Numbers 18:24 (7KB)

24 Instead, I give to the Levites as their inheritance the tithes that the Israelites present as an offering to the LORD. That is why I said concerning them: ‘They will have no inheritance among the Israelites.'”

When the people gave tithes or offerings to the Lord this was an act of worship. Then after these things were given to God, they become holy. Then God gave this holy portion to the Levites who do the work of the ministry so that they would be able to focus full-time on teaching of God’s word. The Levites were forbidden to own land or have farming businesses but were to receive the tithes and offerings of the children of Israel as their only inheritance.

This same principle carries over into the New Testament era because everything that can be said of the Old Testament Levites has direct application also to the New Testament Levites who are those called into the Fivefold Ministry. It is God’s intention that the people give tithes and offerings to God and then God takes these tithes and offerings given by the people and grants them to the NT Fivefold Ministry Levites who do the work of the ministry and teach God’s word as Fivefold ministers.

These tithes and offerings belong to God and if they are withheld then the laymen are counted as robbers of God. It is the responsibility of the laymen to pay their tithes and offerings to the Lord for this reason.

But if the laymen falsely suppose that the tithes and offerings belong to themselves and they can do whatever they want with them, then they will bring a curse to themselves. They will remain a robber of God if they take that which belongs to God and give it to a tare-preacher sown by Satan. Giving to a tare-preacher is not giving to God and it is not supporting those whom God has called into the ministry. When people give to a tare-preacher they are in fact paying a charlatan to give them what they want (such as entertainment in a Christian concert church or flattery of humans or any of the false things provided by tare-preachers in exchange for people’s money).

Money is not given to God when it is poured out on the ground to a fake tare-preacher who only exists to flatter humans for money. This means that those laymen who give to a fake tare-preacher are still robbers of God because they are holding the sacred portion that belongs to God alone and have not given anything at all to the Lord!

The Sacred Portion

The sacred portion refers to the tithes and offerings that belong to God. These are sacred and holy to God and in fact belong to God. To withhold the sacred portion or keep that portion without giving it to God means that such a person is holding stolen goods in their possession and this will bring a curse upon them.

Deuteronomy 26:9-15 (7KB)

9 Now he has brought us to this place and given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

10 and now I bring the firstfruits of the soil that you, O LORD, have given me.” Place the basket before the LORD your God and bow down and worship before him.

11 And you and the Levites and the aliens among you shall rejoice in all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household.

12 “After you have separated a tenth of the crops yielded in the third year, the year of separating a tenth, and have given it to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, so that they can have enough food to satisfy them while staying with you;

13 Then say to the LORD your God: “I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them.

14 I have not eaten any of the sacred portion while I was in mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor have I offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the LORD my God; I have done everything you commanded me.

15 Look down from heaven, your holy dwelling place, and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us as you promised on oath to our forefathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.”

The scriptures above speak of the sacred portion that belongs to God alone. These things are presented to God as an act of worship (then once these are presented to God) they become holy and God gives these holy things to the Levites for the work of the ministry.

Deuteronomy 26:10 (7KB)

10 and now I bring the firstfruits of the soil that you, O LORD, have given me.” Place the basket before the LORD your God and bow down and worship before him.

The people were to bow down in worship to God as they presented the firstfruits of their increase to the Lord. In doing so they are acknowledging that everything they have comes from God and they are giving a tenth part of that increase back to God as an act of worship. Therefore, giving tithes and offerings to God is an act of worship and should not be performed in flippant manner (like someone plopping money in an offering bucket for a tare-preacher for the entertainment or flattery they just received)!

If the layman has ten bushels of grain, they must give one bushel to God. If they have ten cows, they must give one cow to God. If they have ten chickens, they must give one chicken to God. If they have ten eggs they must give on egg to God. If they have ten dollars, they must give one dollar to God. A tithe is a tenth part so that every tenth part of all of their increase is to go to God to honor God for all that he has blessed them with.

Proverbs 3:9 (7KB)

9 Honor the LORD from your wealth by giving the first tenth-part of all your income.

This scripture instructs all those who fear God to honor the Lord with their wealth by giving the first tenth-part of all of their income. This includes produce and livestock and money and all forms of income. If they honor God by giving and this shows that they are grateful and they are acknowledging that everything they have was given to them by God.

In fact, God is really generous because he asks for only 10% while allowing the believer to keep 90% as their share. The tithe however tests the heart because if a person cannot give one-tenth of their income to God this means that they love money more than God and this is idolatry!

Deuteronomy 26:11 (7KB)

11 And you and the Levites and the aliens among you shall rejoice in all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household.

Note that the Levites and the aliens had no land with which to produce a harvest or raise livestock or crops. Land is the foundation of all prosperity and Levites and aliens had no land. They rejoiced over the tithe and offerings of the laymen who were permitted to have land and produce crops and livestock. These laymen land owners then shared with the Levites and aliens who were without means of producing anything on their own.

Deuteronomy 26:12 (7KB)

12 “After you have separated a tenth of the crops yielded in the third year, the year of separating a tenth, and have given it to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, so that they can have enough food to satisfy them while staying with you;

The Levite and the foreigner and the orphan and the widow were all listed together because these people all were without land and had no means of provision. The Levite was not permitted to have an inheritance of land to produce crops and livestock. The foreigner also had no access to land in Israel so he could not produce crops or livestock for himself. The orphan was without a father to provide for them and the widow was without a husband to take care of her. All of these people depended on the Lord for their income and God provided this by giving the tithes and offering presented to him (in worship) to those who had no source of income themselves.

Deuteronomy 26:13 (7KB)

13 Then say to the LORD your God: “I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them.

The sacred portion refers to that portion which belongs to God. The laymen were not to retain the sacred portion or else they were robbing God. This sacred portion was to be presented to God as an act of worship and then after it was given to God then God gave this sacred portion to meet the needs of those who had no provision for themselves. The Levite and the foreigner and the orphans and the widows all had provision provided for them through the tithes of the Israelite laymen who owned land and could produce crops and livestock.

Poverty Washed Away by Giving

When everyone gives tithes and offerings to God then poverty can be washed way by the overflow of abundance and giving.

Deuteronomy 15:4 (7KB)

4 However, there need be no poor people among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you,

When people give to God then they will be blessed and multiplied and increased. The more they increase the greater will be their tithes and offerings. The more God’s people prosper, the more tithes and offerings will flow to those who have no land for increase. Soon there will be no poor people left in the land because the great abundance given by the laymen (who are being blessed by God). This abundance will wash away all remaining traces of poverty and lack! The tithes and offerings will flow abundantly to the Levite and the foreigner and the orphan and the widow so they do not suffer lack but have more than enough and enjoy great abundance.

2 Chronicles 31:4 (NIV)

4 He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites so they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.

In this scripture above, King Hezekiah ordered that the tithes and offering portions which were due the priests and Levites be brought in by the laymen so that the Levites could devote themselves to the teaching of the law of God. If the Levites have to work to earn a living, they will have no time for teaching God’s word and so the word of God will fall to the wayside and be neglected. It is of vital importance that laymen pay a tenth of their increase to the Lord so that there will be food in God’s house to feed the Levites so they can focus full-time on the ministry of God’s word.

Malachi 3:10 (NIV)

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

The people were commanded to bring the tithe into the storehouse so that there would be food in God’s house to feed the Levites who did the work of the ministry. This has direct application to the NT Levites of the Fivefold ministry so that they can focus full-time on teaching the word of God.

2 Chronicles 31:5-10 (7KB)

5 As soon as the order went out, the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of their grain, new wine, oil and honey and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.

6 The men of Israel and Judah who lived in the towns of Judah also brought a tithe of their herds and flocks and a tithe of the holy things dedicated to the LORD their God, and they piled them in heaps.

7 They began doing this in the third month and finished in the seventh month.

8 When Hezekiah and his officials came and saw the heaps, they praised the LORD and blessed his people Israel.

9 Then Hezekiah questioned the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

10 and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok, answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the LORD, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the LORD has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”

The laymen brought in all of the tithes from the produce of their land with livestock and grain and every good thing of their increase. They brought in a great amount with the tithe of everything that their fields produced! The grain was piled in great heaps and King Hezekiah questioned the priests about these large heaps and was told that since the people brought in their tithes that all of the Levites had more than enough and had great abundance to spare! There was a great amount left over from all of these tithes!

If this amount represented only the tithe portion then this would mean that the layman would have 90% more than that kept at home for themselves!

This is an illustration of how giving can wash away all poverty with great abundance so that there are no more poor people left in the land! The laymen are blessed and prospered by God for giving and their tithe becomes a huge abundance for all of the Levites to have more than enough. And this abundance just continues to flow so that those without the provision of land ownership can be blessed as well. The foreigner and orphan and widows would most certainly enjoy the great overflow of abundance also! Everyone is blessed when they give to God and this meets the needs of the Levites for ministry and meets the needs of foreigners and orphans and widows who are left without provision other than the overflow of tithes.

It is for this reason that Satan fights the teaching of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” so severely because when people give to God they will be blessed and the Levites will prosper and be able to teach God’s word on a full-time basis and even the needy like foreigners and orphans and widows will also be blessed with great provision. This abundance blesses everyone from top to bottom and washes all poverty and lack with a flood of abundance from God!

Curse from Withholding

Nehemiah 13:10-12 (7KB)

10 I also learned that the portions assigned to the Levites had not been given to them, and that all the Levites and singers responsible for the service had gone back to their own fields.

11 So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?” Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts.

12 All Judah brought the tithes of grain, new wine and oil into the storerooms.

In the time of Nehemiah, the governor, he had to return to see the king on official business and during his absence the people stopped bringing in their tithes for the support of the Levites. This forced the Levites out of the ministry and they had to go to their pasturelands and try to scratch out a living by planting some vegetables and crops. This caused the ministry of God’s word to cease because they were forced out of the ministry by lack of support.

When Nehemiah returned, he rebuked the people and commanded them to bring in their required tithes and he restored the Levites to their positions of ministry. This provides an example of what happens with the tithes are withheld by the laymen.

In this case the laymen are holding the sacred portions at home by failing to bring them to God’s house (so that there would be food in God’s house to feed the Levites). This brings a curse upon the laymen because they are holding stolen goods in their possession! The Levites are also diminished and starved out of the ministry so everyone goes down. The devil jumps with glee when this happens because the word of God is no longer being taught and the Levites are starved out of the ministry and the laymen are cursed and it is a downward spiral into poverty for everyone!

The fact of the matter is that when people honor God with tithes they will be blessed and everyone increases as a result. But when people withhold their tithes they will be cursed and everyone spirals down into poverty and lack. Everyone is blessed by giving and everyone is cursed by withholding what God has commanded them to give.

Malachi 3:9-11 (7KB)

9 You are under a curse–the whole nation of you–because you are robbing me.

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

11 “Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts.

When people withhold God’s tithes, they are holding stolen property in their possession and this brings a curse. God said clearly that they were cursed with a curse for withholding the tithes. But if they would give faithfully then God would bless them and open the floodgates of heaven for them with abundant provision and give them more than enough prosperity! God also promised to rebuke the devourer for their sakes!

Devourer Released Against Robber of God

The “devourer” is something spiritual related to a curse which results when people withhold the tithes of God.

A devourer means that their property is opened to satanic attack. Their crops can be destroyed by insects and their livestock can get sick and die or be lost or predators. Their children can get sick and they have to pay huge hospital bills or medical expenses. Things break down and they end up having to replace expensive things! When the devourer is loosed against them it is like they have holes in their pockets and their finances pour to the ground like a flow of dry sand! Everything can go wrong for those who hold the “sacred portion” in their possession and fail to bring it to God’s house so there will be food in his house!

But all of this “devouring-curse” is stopped by giving the sacred portion to God as an act of worship! When the giver worships God with their sacred-portion they are acknowledging the fact that God has given them everything that they own. They are honoring God by giving a tenth-part back to the Lord by saying, “God has given me everything I have and all of the prosperity I own, so now I return a tenth part back to God to honor God and to acknowledge that all blessing I have comes from God!”

Deuteronomy 26:13 (NIV)

13 Then say to the LORD your God: “I have removed from my house the sacred portion and have given it to the Levite, the alien, the fatherless and the widow, according to all you commanded. I have not turned aside from your commands nor have I forgotten any of them.

Removing from their house the sacred portion means that they have no “stolen-property” in their possession that belongs to God. Removing the sacred portion by giving their tithes to the Lord will stop the devourer so that Satan has no right to destroy their prosperity and curse their blessings.

Ecclesiastes 5:6 (7KB)

6 Do not let your speech cause you to sin and do not say in the presence of the messenger of God that it was a mistake. Why should God be angry on account of your voice and destroy the work of your hands?

This scripture above also has application to paying tithes. Suppose a man makes a promise to the Lord and says, “I vow that if God prospers me financially then I will honor God by paying tithe of all of my increase!” But then the same man after God prospered him becomes covetous and greedy and changes his mind and does not want to pay a tithe but instead keeps the whole thing to himself! Such a man is open to have the works of his hands destroyed because he did not keep his vow to the Lord. The door will be opened to the devourer to destroy him and he will have everything imaginable go wrong for him and he will lose all of the money he gained! The devourer is a curse for those who refuse to honor God with the firstfruits of their increase! If they want to keep it all to themselves and give nothing to God that is idolatry and shows that they love money more than God!

The tithe tests the heart because if they cannot give one out of ten to God then they love money more than they love God. Such a person will be cursed and lose everything that they had gained by not honoring God with the firstfruits of their increase!

Deuteronomy 26:14 (NIV)

14 I have not eaten any of the sacred portion while I was in mourning, nor have I removed any of it while I was unclean, nor have I offered any of it to the dead. I have obeyed the LORD my God; I have done everything you commanded me.

This scripture mentions not offering any of God’s tithe to the dead and this could also have application to taking the tithes of the Lord and giving it to a “dead” tare-preacher who was planted by Satan. Such a tare-preacher has no gift or ability to take anyone to heaven and only runs a social-club based on flattering people for their money. That is a dead-work and it is just as bad as giving a tithe to a dead corpse in a grave! The same result will be received because giving to the dead is a curse including giving it to a dead laymen tare-preacher how has no calling or gift of God to help anyone in the least way spiritually or naturally!

Isaiah 24:5-6 (7KB)

5 The land and the earth also are defiled by their inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, disregarded the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore a curse devours the land and the earth, and they who dwell in it suffer the punishment of their guilt. Therefore, the inhabitants of the land and the earth are scorched and parched [under the curse of God’s wrath], and few people are left.

Transgressing God’s laws also includes holding the sacred-portion that belongs to God and refusing to honor God with the firstfruits of their increase. A curse will devour the land because of transgression (including those who are cursed as robbers of God). The land becomes scorched and parched under the curse of God’s wrath so that only few people are left in it. This also depicts the situation where people withhold their tithes and God brings a curse upon them and everyone sinks down into poverty and lack and cursing!

This is why Satan fights the doctrine of giving because if laymen stop giving, they will be cursed by God as robbers and then the Levites will be starved out of the ministry and the teaching of God’s word will cease. Those who are needy (like foreigners and orphans and widows) will all perish for lack. This has Satan’s signature all over it because he loves to see poverty and human misery and lack! Stopping people from giving will produced all of these negative consequences. Satan sows tare-preachers into the public ministry to cause offense at the doctrine of giving and this will result in a curse for those who are turned-off to giving and who then become robbers of God!

1 Chronicles 29:12 (7KB)

12 Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might to make great and to give strength to all who fear you.

Both riches and honor come from God and in the hand of God is power and might to make great and give strength and power to those who fear God.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (7KB)

18 “But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

God gives the power to get wealth to those who honor him by paying the tenth part of their increase. But if they refuse to pay what they owe God he can also curse the work of their hands and allow the devourer to destroy all of their prosperity!

See the link “Gift of Businessman “Giver” for more details about those born with a gift of “Giver” who were given “power to get wealth” creating prosperity even in the level of million-flow and billion-flow wealth for the kingdom of God!

Defining Terms for Giving

Tithe:

A tithe is a tenth part of someone’s increase so that they give 10% to God and keep 90% for themselves at home. The tithe was practiced before the law took effect and it was practiced during the dispensation of the law and it was practiced after the law was fulfilled in Christ. Therefore, honoring God with the tithe is still in effect under the current dispensation of grace!

A common “satanic-doctrine” exists which teaches that tithing has passed away with the law but this false teaching is only a satanic-ploy to deceive people into becoming robbers of God so that they will be cursed!

We will therefore show that tithing was practiced before the law was given and practiced during the dispensation of the law and is still practiced under this current dispensation of grace. Believers still have the opportunity to become blessed by God through giving their tithes!

Tithing Before the Dispensation of the Law

Genesis 14:18-20 (7KB)

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,

19 and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

20 And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Abram paid tithes to Melchizedek the king of Salem who was the priest of the Most High God. This occurred prior to the giving of the law to Moses on Mount Horeb so tithing was practiced before the dispensation of the law began.

Genesis 28:20-22 (7KB)

20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear

21 so that I return safely to my father’s house, then the LORD will be my God

22 And this standing-stone I have setup will be a memorial pillar and will become a place for worshiping God, and of everything you give me, I will faithfully return one-tenth to you.”

Jacob also vowed to give a tenth part of all of his increase to God and this occurred long before the dispensation of the law was enacted by Moses on Mount Horeb.

It should also be noted here that before the dispensation of the law and before the Levites were separated by God for the ministry and before the Levitical priesthood existed (that Jacob would have offered the best out of every ten of his animals to God as a burnt sacrifice). This was a means that Jacob used to worship God and no doubt his father and grandfather (Isaac and Abraham) both did the same. It was after the Levites were separated for ministry that God began to give the tithes of Israel to the Levites as their inheritance.

Tithing During the Dispensation of the Law

2 Chronicles 31:4-6 (7KB)

4 He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to give the portion due the priests and Levites so they could devote themselves to the Law of the LORD.

The time of Hezekiah he commanding the tithes to be brought in and this serves as an example of tithing under the dispensation of the Law.

Numbers 18:20-21 (7KB)

20 The LORD said to Aaron, “You will have no inheritance in their land, nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and your inheritance among the Israelites.

21 “I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the Tent of Meeting.

During the enactment of the dispensation of the law God gave the tithes as inheritance to Aaron and the Levites for their work of the ministry. The priests and Levites were not allowed to own any land or produce their own income but were to rely solely on the tithes and offerings given to God by the laymen.

Nehemiah 10:37 (7KB)

37 “Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our [grain] offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and oil. And we will bring a tithe of our crops to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work.

The time that Nehemiah returned with the exiles to rebuild Jerusalem was still under the dispensation of the law and at this time they practiced the tithe as a means of honoring God with the firstfruits of their increase.

Hebrews 7:5 (NASB)

5 And those indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have commandment in the Law to collect a tenth from the people, that is, from their brethren, although these are descended from Abraham.

The book of Hebrews also reaffirms that the tithes were commanded of God during the Old Testament era. The Levites were commanded by God to collected a tenth from the people. The tithe was God’s idea and was God’s plan and was something God commanded the people to do.

Tithing Under the Dispensation of Grace

Matthew 23:23 (NIV)

23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices–mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law–justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

Jesus said that the teachers of the law and the Pharisees paid a tenth of spices but they neglected the more important matters of the law like justice and mercy and faithfulness to God. Jesus then said that they should have practiced these latter things concerning matters of the law without neglecting the former things mentioned (which includes paying tithes). Thus, Jesus shows that paying tithes under the dispensation of grace was still ordained by God just as it was before the dispensation of the law and also during the dispensation of the law.

Luke 16:11-13 (7KB)

11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

Jesus taught in this parable about the use of God’s money and this parable also has application to a person who was not faithful to pay a tenth part from what God gave them. If they robbed God of his sacred-portion then the robber would not be given anything of their own. If they failed to give God his due part of the tithe then they would have the devourer released to destroy their 90% share and they would be left with nothing of their own.

Luke 16:13 (NIV)

13 “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

No human can serve two masters at the same time. If their master is money they will love money more than God and this will be evident in their failure to pay tithes. If they cannot give even one out of ten to God then they love money more than God and money is an idol to them! The tithe tests their hearts and shows who loves God more than money. They cannot serve both God and money at the same time and the tithe will test their hearts because a greedy man will not give anything to honor God who richly blessed them with all things!

Offering:

The offering comes out of the 90% share of the believer and this can be as much or as little as he decides. The tithe however is a mandatory 10% of the income commanded by God but the offering comes out of the 90% remaining share of the believer and the amount of this offering is determined by the giver.

Freewill Offering

A freewill offering means that it is left up to the human freewill of the giver to determine how much or how little they will give as an offering to God.

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (7KB)

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly and this has application to the freewill offering because the amount they give determines the amount that they will receive back. Giving to God is like sowing seed because the more they sow (or give) the more they can reap a harvest of blessing and abundance from God!

God loves a cheerful giver who is happy to give to the Lord. No gift should be made out of compulsion otherwise that would be offensive to God.

Offerings Made by Compulsion

1 Samuel 2:15-17 (7KB)

15 But even before the fat was burned, the servant of the priest would come and say to the man who was sacrificing, “Give the priest some meat to roast; he won’t accept boiled meat from you, but only raw.”

16 And if the man said to him, Let them burn the fat first, and then you may take as much as you want, the priest’s servant would say, No! Give it to me now or I will take it by force.

17 This sin of the young men was very great in the LORD’s sight, for they were treating the LORD’s offering with contempt.

The sin of the sons of Eli was grievous to the Lord because they were seizing offerings from the people by force! This deprived the people of making a freewill offering to the Lord out of their own free choice. Instead these scoundrels were taking it away from the people by force like a robber! No longer were the people able to give it freely to God when it was seized from them against their own human freewill.

God wants everyone to give their offerings out of a freewill and do so willingly out of a heart of love toward God. The tithe is commanded however with a set rate of 10% but it is the offering where God allows the giver to determine how much out of their 90% share, they will give to God. Whatever is given however should be given out of a good and willing heart to give to the Lord otherwise it should not be given at all!

Sacrificial Giving:

This is giving more than one can afford and it really is a demonstration of one’s great love for God to give all that they have in a sacrificial gift to God.

Luke 21:2-4 (7KB)

2 And He saw a poor widow putting in two small copper coins.

3 And He said, “Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all of them;

4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

In this case the poor widow gave everything that she had and out of her poverty she gave all she had to live on. This might not sound wise at first glance but in fact this is the best thing that she could have done. The two small copper coins were not enough to live on anyway so by giving them to God she was sowing a seed out of her need! I would not be surprised if God brought blessing and food to this poor widow because of her sacrificial gift (which really took a lot of faith to give in her situation). When people have faith in God to give, he will bless them back in return with a great blessing. Giving is the way that a poor person can rise out of poverty by giving in faith to God who is able to supply all of their needs!

2 Corinthians 8:1-3 (CJB)

1 Now, brothers, we must tell you about the grace God has given the congregations in Macedonia.

2 Despite severe trials, and even though they are desperately poor, their joy has overflowed in a wealth of generosity.

3 I tell you they have not merely given according to their means, but of their own free will they have given beyond their means.

The congregation in Macedonia was desperately poor but they gave beyond their means which was sacrificial giving to give more than they could afford to give. When someone does this then God is free to bless them back abundantly! Sacrificial giving is a means for a needy person to give their way out of poverty and receive the blessing of God by faith through sowing a sacrificial seed to the Lord.

Luke 6:38 (7KB)

38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Jesus promised that if the believer would give then it would be given back to them again. The return that they will receive from God is with a good measure and pressed down and shaken together and running over in abundance. A person cannot out-give God because God will reward them for their giving. The measure that they use will be measured back to them again meaning that if they give small then it will be a small measure returned to them.

But the measure reflects how much they have retained at home. Therefore, the widow gave her last two copper coins gave it all so she gave more than anyone (including the rich who gave great amounts). So, the widow’s measure was big because she gave everything and this would open the widow of blessing for her to receive a great blessing of God in return!

Testimony of New Believer’s Faith

I heard a testimony of a new believer who tried God by promising God a tenth of her income. She had a lot in the Philippines and was believing God to build a house upon that lot. She began to sell ladies handbags and vowed to give God a tenth of her income if God would prosper her. God answered her prayers by having her handbags sell like hotcakes. People were lining up to buy them even though the bags of her competitors were of better quality than hers. She ordered bags by the hundreds and sold them all out and within three months she had the money she needed to build her new house. God often shows himself real to new believers when they take a stand of faith like this and make a vow to honor God with a tenth of their increase.

Storing Treasures in Heaven

Matthew 6:19-21 (7KB)

19 “Do not store up for yourselves wealth here on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and burglars break in and steal.

20 Instead, store up for yourselves wealth in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and burglars do not break in or steal.

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Jesus spoke about storing treasures in heaven and this occurs when a believer gives on earth. When they give on earth it will cause eternal rewards to be laid away for them in heaven. But those who love money more than God cannot give because they love money (which is idolatry). Where their heart is where they will put their treasure so those who have a heart for God and eternal things will become givers and lay away treasure in heaven by their giving on earth!

Philippians 4:17 (7KB)

17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek to see the rewards that abound in your heavenly account through your giving on earth.

Apostle Paul was not seeking the financial gift of those who donated to him but rather he sought that these givers would have fruit or rewards abounding in their account in heaven. The givers receive rewards by their giving on earth and Paul rejoiced knowing they were laying away treasures in heaven by their financial gifts made to him.

Faith Pledges:

This is a type of giving that involves a believer making a pledge to God by faith that if God provides for them, then they will pay that pledge to the Lord. This means they do not have the money when they make the pledge but vow to give it as soon as the Lord provides for them.

Faith pledges are a good means of funding special projects or missionary outreach because the tithes and offerings generally go toward the church operation and for providing the needs of the NT Fivefold ministry Levites and their families. If people make faith pledges it is in addition to their tithes and offerings and it is a great opportunity for them to see that God is real when he provides for them in specific manner.

Testimonies of Faith Pledges

Several testimonies I have heard is that one man made a faith pledge for a specific amount telling God that if he provided, then he would give that to the Lord as a faith pledge. Then he was contacted by someone who owed him money from many years prior which he never expected to receive back again. The payment of this old debt to him happened to be the exact amount of money he had made as a faith pledge! He rejoiced to see God’s provision when the Lord showed himself “real” to him in a detailed manner.

Another testimony was of an elderly lady who made faith pledge and then her dog got pregnant and had puppies. The woman was able to sell the puppies and the amount of the sales equaled exactly the amount of her faith pledge (which came to her as unexpected income).

There are many such testimonies of new believers having God show himself real to them through making a faith pledge and having the exact amount of that pledge manifest for them!

Tithe Belongs to God and is Holy

Leviticus 27:30 (NIV)

30 “‘A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

A tithe of everything from the land (of grain and fruit from the trees) all belongs to God and it is holy to the Lord. Therefore, if anyone holds something that belongs to God by keeping the sacred portion at home (without giving it to the Lord) then that is holding stolen goods. They are holding something that does not belong to them and that can bring a curse upon them instead of a blessing. The tithe is something that is holy and belongs to God and it is therefore not permitted that a layman retain that which is holy for himself.

Layman Forbidden to Eat Holy Tithes

Leviticus 22:10-16 (7KB)

10 “‘No layman (anyone outside a priest’s family) may eat the sacred offering, nor may the guest of a priest or his hired worker eat it.

11 But if a priest buys a slave with money, or if a slave is born in his household, that slave may eat his food.

12 ‘If a priest’s daughter is married to a layman, she shall not eat of the offering of the gifts.

13 ‘But if a priest’s daughter becomes a widow or divorced, and has no child and returns to her father’s house as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s food; but no layman shall eat of it.

14 ‘But if a layman eats a holy gift unintentionally, then he shall add to it a fifth of it and shall give the holy gift to the priest.

15 The priests must not desecrate the sacred offerings the Israelites present to the LORD

16 by allowing any layman to eat the sacred offerings and so bring upon them guilt requiring payment. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.'”

It was forbidden that any layman would be allowed to eat any of the food within the priest’s household because everything he had in his house had been first offered to God and therefore it was holy and sacred. A layman could not just come over for dinner and randomly eat anything found in the priest’s house or he would profane the holy things. If a layman accidentally ate something that had been previously offered to God then he would have to make restitution for it by paying it back in full (plus an additional 20% added surcharge to make atonement for his crime against God). If the layman did not make restitution for his sin then it might result in judgment and a curse for him because of having consumed the holy things of God in illegal manner!

The fact of the matter is that only the Levites were allowed to eat sacred things and those who belonged to the household of the Levites. If the daughter of a Levite priest for example married a layman then she was to have her provision from her layman husband and not eat of her Levite father’s food anymore. Only if she lost her husband would she be permitted to return to her father’s household and eat his holy food as she formerly did as a maiden.

Laymen Desecration by Consumption of Holy Things

Leviticus 22:15-15 (7KB)

15 The priests must not desecrate the sacred offerings the Israelites present to the LORD

16 by allowing any layman to eat the sacred offerings and so bring upon them guilt requiring payment. I am the LORD, who makes them holy.'”

If a priest allowed any layman to eat the sacred food found within his household then he would be guilty of desecrating holy things. It was strictly forbidden that any layman consume holy things given to God as tithes and offerings (previously given by an act of worship of the people). Those laymen who ate holy things in unauthorized manner were guilty of sin and had to make restitution for their crime to avoid God’s judgment upon them!

Whatever Offered to God is Holy

Numbers 16:37-38 (7KB)

37 “Tell Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, to take the censers out of the smoldering remains and scatter the coals some distance away, for the censers are holy–

38 the censers of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives. Hammer the censers into sheets to overlay the altar, for they were presented before the LORD and have become holy. Let them be a sign to the Israelites.”

In the rebellion of Korah these laymen were puffed up in their thinking (by the instigation of Korah) and they attempted to offer incense before God in the role of a priest and therefore they were destroyed when fire came out from God and burned them alive. The censors however were considered holy because whatever is presented before God becomes holy. God said clearly that because the censors were presented to God, they were holy so they were hammered out as a covering for the altar and served as a sign to the Israelites that no laymen should attempt to intrude into the ministry of the Levitical priesthood.

This has application also to tithes and offerings given to the Lord because whatever has been presented to the Lord as a tithe or offering becomes holy. This is the reason that no Levitical priest was allowed to permit any laymen to eat any food found in his household because all of it had been first presented to the Lord and it was holy for that reason.

No layman was permitted to eat holy things and this is one more reason why tithes and offerings should not be given to tare-preachers (who are laymen impostors intruding into the holy office of the Fivefold ministry). These tithes and offerings are holy and it is forbidden that any layman outside of the NT Levite Fivefold Ministry be allowed to consume holy things that had been presented to God.

Examples of Laymen Intruders

I know of a layman who did not want to submit to the Fivefold ministry so he started his own home church. He invited people to his church and they gave tithes and offerings to this layman. It was a case of a sheep leading other sheep!

But this did not last long before this sheep-leader was struck down with a terminal disease. His fellow laymen “sheep-Christians” prayed for him in the hospital but to no avail and he died. I believe this is related to him intruding into the holy office and also because of the fact that he was a layman consuming the holy gifts that were presented to the Lord.

These gifts are holy when given to God and only a NT Levite called into the Fivefold Ministry is permitted to consume these holy things. This is not something to be trifled with in a flippant manner because this layman was consuming holy things and this brought a curse of death upon him.

I also met another layman in the Philippines who was intruding into the holy office and consuming holy things that had been presented to the Lord. I taught clearly for four-hours in a pastor’s seminar on the subject of the Fivefold ministry and explained that no one can intrude into this holy office by self-appointment. I shared that only a man born with a Fivefold ministry gift from his mother’s womb (who has fruit of that gift evident) is permitted to enter into the ministry. This man resisted the teaching however and stood up and boldly said that he was called from his mother’s womb into the ministry. But I had delivered his last warning and the next time I arrived in that region I heard the news of his death by a stroke!

If laymen persist in intruding into the holy office and continue to consume holy things (which are only allowed for Levites) then they may experience judgment after they have been warned by God!

In know many examples like this where laymen intruders (who were consuming the holy gifts) were judged by God after they received their last warning. This is no joke and laymen should not seek to intrude into the ministry for which they are not called. Telling laymen to enter the ministry is doing them a great disservice and it can result in their demise if they do not repent or heed the warnings given to them.

A Double-Curse

In the case of laymen (giving to a laymen ministry intruder) there is a double-curse involved with this improper form of giving. First the laymen (who give to laymen intruders or tare-preachers) will reap a curse for their giving rather than a blessing from God. Secondly the laymen ministry intruder is flippantly consuming holy things that are forbidden to everyone except a NT Levite called into the Fivefold Ministry and this brings a curse to them.

Therefore, a double-curse is involved here because the giver is cursed for giving into bad soil of a laymen intruder and the laymen intruder himself will also reap a curse for consuming holy things. This means that there is a double-curse that affects both the giver and the receiver when the laymen giver gives tithes and offerings to a laymen intruder who is consuming holy things.

Revelation of Wheat and Tares

It should be noted that in the parable of the wheat and the tares that the wheat represents real NT Levites called into the Fivefold Ministry by God. The tares represent the false tare-preachers planted by Satan among those who stand in a public pulpit ministry. These false tare-preaches produce only toxic fruit that will result in the spiritual death of their followers.

The reason that the ‘wheat” in this parable represents real NT Levite Fivefold Ministry preachers is because wheat can produce flour to make nutritious bread to feed the people. In the same way, the NT Levite Fivefold Ministry also produces nutritious “spiritual-food” to feed the people.

Deuteronomy 25:4 (7KB)

4 “You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain.

This Old Testament scripture says that the ox should not be muzzled while it is treading out the grain. This means that a muzzle (or net bag) was used to cover the mouth of the oxen so these animals could not eat any of the grain. This however has great spiritual application under the NT era for the NT Levites who are part of the Fivefold ministry.

1 Corinthians 9:9 (7KB)

9 For it is written in the Law of Moses: “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

10 Or is He speaking altogether for our sake? Yes, for our sake it was written, because the plowman ought to plow in hope, and the thresher to thresh in hope of sharing the crops.

11 If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much if we reap material things from you?

The Apostle Paul had great spiritual revelation of this OT scripture that forbid muzzling the oxen while it treads out the grain. Paul revealed that this scripture was not even referring to natural cattle at all! God was not concerned for oxen when this command was given. Rather this command is now entirely directed toward the NT Levites of the Fivefold Ministry. Paul said that this clearly applies to the ministers of the gospel who teach the word of God. Not muzzling the oxen means that the laymen were not to withhold their tithes and offerings which provides food for the NT Levite Fivefold ministers to eat and for the sustenance of their own families.

The analogy here is clear to be seen because when the grain (like wheat) was harvested they would pour this grain upon a hard-smooth surface and have oxen tread upon the grain to break the inedible outer covering called “chaff” away from the grain. The heavy hooves of the oxen treading on the grain would cause the chaff to break-away from the wheat kernel within.

Then they would then toss this mixture into the air and the wind would blow away the chaff leaving the heavier kernels of wheat to fall to the threshing floor. The wheat kernels were then gathered to be taken to a mill to be ground into wheat flour (which could be used to bake nutritious bread for the people to eat)!

2 Samuel 24:18 (7KB)

18 On that day Gad went to David and said to him, “Go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.”

19 So David went up, as the LORD had commanded through Gad.

The prophet Gad told King David to “go-up” to the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite to build an altar there to stop the plague of judgment. Araunah the Jebusite was from Jebus (Jerusalem) and he built a threshing floor on the top of a hill just outside of Jerusalem (which was later called the hill of Zion). The reason David “went-up” was because the threshing floor was built upon a hilltop to better catch the winds that passed through the valley near Jerusalem.

Again, the reason that a threshing floor was built upon a hilltop (where the prevailing winds were stronger) was because wind was used to blow away the chaff which was separated from the grain.

All of this has spiritual application because the NT Levites of the Fivefold Ministry are those who tread out the grain of God’s word for the people to eat. A gifted Fivefold Ministry Bible Teacher can see revelation of God’s word that the laymen cannot see. These Bible Teachers remove the cloak of mystery (chaff) to reveal the true meaning of God’s word to teach the people (like exposing the kernel of grain within).

A layman for example might easily assume that God does not want any oxen to be muzzled and since oxen are no longer used to thresh grain, they might falsely assume that this scripture has no more significance to the modern era. But a Fivefold Ministry Bible Teacher can reveal that the oxen are referring to the Fivefold Ministry who teach God’s word. These Fivefold ministers tread out the grain of God’s word to expose the hidden meaning of God’s word for the laymen. This is like treading out the grain to remove the inedible chaff so that the laymen will have the edible kernels of wheat to make nutritious spiritual bread of “revelation of God’s word” for them to eat!

It was commanded that the laymen do not muzzle the NT Levite Fivefold Ministry teachers by withholding their tithes and offerings. The NT Levite Fivefold Ministers are not to have outside secular employment or jobs or business or investments to provide their own needs. They are to depend completely on preaching the gospel and the work of the ministry and the teaching of God’s word for their income. These NT Levites are to depend on the tithes and offerings of the Laymen just as the OT Levite counterparts were also required to do the same. The same regulations for the OT Levites pass over directly into the NT era for the Fivefold Ministry Levites.

See the link “Levites Commanded to Live of Ministry” for more details.

11 If we sowed spiritual things in you, is it too much to ask if we reap material things from you?

Again, Apostle Paul says, “Is God concerned about oxen?” In fact, this scripture is not referring to oxen at all but referring only to the Fivefold minister (like Apostle Paul) who was supposed to depend on the tithes and offerings of the laymen givers to supply his needs in the ministry. Paul said, “If we (Fivefold Ministers) sow spiritual things to you, is to too much to ask if we also reap material things from you?”

The Fivefold Ministry was given to teach God’s word to the laymen and this biblical teaching causes the laymen to prosper and to have their households in order and causes them to increase both spiritually and naturally. The ministry that blesses the laymen is then funded by the tithes and offerings given to God out of the laymen’s increase. The Levites cause the laymen to prosper by good biblical teaching and the laymen give tithes and offerings to the Lord out of their increase. Thus, both the laymen and the Levites are blessed by God because of the giving of the laymen.

Wheat Refers to Real and Tares Refer to False

This has application to the Fivefold ministry which represent the sons of the kingdom who are Fivefold ministers called by God. In this parable the good wheat seed represents the Fivefold Ministry Gifts given by God to do the work of the ministry.

Ephesians 4:8-12 (7KB)

8 This is why it says: “When he ascended on high, Jesus the Messiah led captives in his procession and gave ministry gifts to men.”

9 Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.

11 In giving ministry gifts, He gave some as Apostles, and some as Prophets, and some as Teachers and some as Pastors and some as Evangelists,

12 For the perfecting (maturing) of the saints, and for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Jesus gave ministry gifts to men which include the Fivefold Ministry gifts of Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor, and Evangelists. These Five ministry gifts do the work of the ministry to cause the laymen believers to become perfected (or spiritually mature) and to do the work of the ministry (as Fivefold Ministers) and to edify the body of Christ using their Fivefold Ministry Gifts and calling.

See the link “Fivefold Ministry Gifts” for more details about the fruit of each of these five ministry gifts.

Matthew 13:37 (7KB)

37 He answered, “The one who sowed the good wheat seed is the Son of Man (who dispersed Fivefold Ministry Gifts unto men).

In the parable of the wheat and the tares, the good wheat seed represents the Fivefold Ministry Gifts who were given to the body of Christ by the Lord Jesus after his resurrection. These men comprise Apostles and Prophets and Teachers and Pastors and Evangelists who do the work of the ministry and teach God’s word. They are like the oxen which treads out the grain of God’s word to reveal revelation of God’s word to feed the people good nutritious hot bread of revelation to help them grow spiritually.

Matthew 13:38-39 (7KB)

38 The field is the world, and the good wheat seed represents the sons of the kingdom who are called into the Fivefold Ministry. The tares (toxic darnel weeds) are the sons of the evil one sown as false ministers (who have toxic fruit which produces eternal death),

39 and the enemy who sows these false tare-ministers is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.

The tares are the sons of the evil one who are sown among the public pulpit ministry as false ministers who produce toxic fruit which produces eternal death. They imitate faith with positive thinking and they switch having faith in God to having faith in themselves and everything they teach is a satanic perversion of twisted truth! The fruit of these false tare-preachers is toxic like the seeds of the Darnel weed. The Darnel weed looks similar to wheat but the seeds it produces are toxic to both livestock and humans. Just ingesting a tiny darnel seed is enough to make a person nauseous and dizzy and sick and gives them impaired vision as if they were drugged! This is just like the fruit of false tare-preachers sown by the enemy whose teaching produces a drunken-type of stupor in the listeners which causes them to waste their lives in false religion and in the end, they will be burned in the fires of hell together with the false tare-preachers they were following! Those poisoned by this false teaching behave like a mad-man high on drugs speeding wildly toward a precipice to soon fall to his own destruction!

The tares (toxic Darnel weeds) look similar to wheat and this noxious weed grows in every wheat producing zone on earth and is a curse to wheat producers. In the same way, Satan has sown his false ministers to stand in the public pulpit ministry in every country on earth. These false ministers look similar to the real Fivefold Ministry Gifts but the difference is in the fruit they produce. The tare-preachers teach twisted satanic doctrines which are toxic to those who ingest them and their false religion occupies the deceived until they perish and go to hell together with their false teachers and their false religion!

The wheat stands for real Fivefold Ministers who can produce real spiritual food for the people to eat while the tares speak of false-wheat or false ministers who only look similar but instead produce toxic fruit that will send their followers to hell!

2 Thessalonians 2:11 (NASB)

11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false,

Those humans who do not love the truth but want to follow lies will support false teachers who tell them whatever they want to hear. The false tare-preachers give people whatever they want whether it be entertainment or flattery of man or human praise or whatever it is that will cause these people to give to support the false tare-preacher who serves as an activity director for their religious social-club type of fake church.

God gives these people over to a deluding influence so that they will believe in that which is false and, in the end, they will perish together in hell with the false tare-preachers who lead them into dead religious activity.

2 Timothy 4:3 (7KB)

3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of false teachers to say whatever their itching ears want to hear.

Those who love deception will not put up with sound doctrine that includes rebukes and correction given by a Fivefold Ministry Apostle and Prophet. Instead these deluded people want to suit their own desires to do their own thing and so they gather around themselves a great number of false teachers to say whatever their itching ears want to hear.

There are two types of kingdoms in operation and the kingdom of Satan operates a false religion to imitate and twist and pervert the truth so that false ministers appear as if they are real but only their fruit distinguishes them. False teaching produces the end result of eternal damnation and death as people expend their lives in false religion only to be burned eternally in hell together with the false teachers they followed.

Sowing into False Ministry Reaps Death

All of this has direct application to the teaching on giving because if people sow into the cursed soil of a false tare-preacher they will reap death. This is just like sowing natural seed into soil poisoned by radiation. The fruit or grain produced on this soil will be toxic for humans to eat and will kill them. In the same way, sowing seed to false tare-preachers will cause spiritual death and, in the end, those deluded by tare-preaches will burn in hell.

Only real Fivefold ministers can feed the people real spiritual food which will result in them being cleaned up and having idols removed from their hearts and having their natural lives and households in order. If this is done, they will have blessing from God on earth and enjoy eternal life when their time on earth is completed.

The only way to tell a false tare-preacher from a real Fivefold Ministry Gift is by their fruit. Only the real Fivefold Ministry Gifts produces fruit of divine order and holiness in the lives of the believers. The false tare-preachers produce nothing that will help people enter into heaven. It is all a waste of time to cause people to be lost in dead religion until their time on earth expires and they go to hell.

The fruit of false tare-preachers is eternal damnation and death and sowing into their false ministry is not giving to God at all. God requires that the giving of the tithes and offerings be only to the NT Levite Fivefold Minister. Any laymen impostors who are consuming the holy things are under a curse and those who give to them are also under the curse as well. False tare-preachers are also fake laymen impostors because if they have no Fivefold Ministry Gift then they are a layman intruding into the holy office.

Giving to a false tare-preacher is not giving to God therefore the curse remains for those who are robbers of God because they never gave their tithes and offerings to a real Fivefold Ministry Gift as God has commanded.

Therefore, the teaching of “Giving and Kingdom Finances” has great importance because it will determine if people are blessed or cursed. It also will determine if they will go to heaven or perish in hell after they die!

Giving must only be done into the good soil of a proven Fivefold Minister because giving to a layman impostor and a tare-preacher will only produce a curse for those who gave.

Lordship and Giving

Proverbs 3:9-10 (HCSB)

9 Honor the LORD with your possessions and with the first produce of your entire harvest;

10 then your barns will be completely filled, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

Paying tithes and offerings to the Lord is an act of worship and by this the giver is coming under the lordship of Christ. To give a tithe or tenth of the firstfruits speaks of giving the best part to God. It is acknowledging that all they have has come from God so they honor God back with the firstfruits or first-part of their increase.

Genesis 28:20-22 (NIV)

20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear

21 so that I return safely to my father’s house, then the LORD will be my God

22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”

Jacob made a vow to God that if God would prosper him and meet his needs then he would give a tenth of all of his increase to God. In those days (prior to the establishment of the tabernacle worship system and later the temple worship system men of God (such as the patriarchs) offered the best or first of their livestock and grain as a burnt offering to the Lord. Later God assigned the tithes as part of the system used to meet the needs of those who taught God’s word as Levites and did the work of the ministry.

When a person gives the first part to God they are acknowledging that all they have as been given to them by the Lord and so they honor God with the first part of their increase.

This is related to lordship because those who are tithers will pay God the first part of their increase to honor God for the rest of their lives and this indicates coming under the lordship of Christ.

If they do not pay any tithes whatsoever but do what they please with their money (as if they were self-made men and do not need God’s help) then they are living as sheep gone astray living a life of independence that is not under submission to the lordship of Christ.

Isaiah 53:6 (NIV)

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

A sheep gone astray is a depiction of a person who lives for themselves without regard to the lordship of Christ. In fact, lordship can be defined as submission to the Good Shepherd (Christ) just as a natural sheep follow their shepherd. A natural sheep does not go wherever they please but they remain submitted to the direction and leading of their shepherd who guides them to the best places to find food and water and who is a protector of the sheep.

A sheep gone astray is a depiction of independence and rebellion against the lordship of Christ. And the refusal to pay a tithe is an expression of independence as a person behaves as a sheep gone astray and sees no need to submit to the lordship of Christ but lives their own lives as they see fit.

The fact remains that where a person gives tithes and offerings to is a reflection of their submission to lordship or their lack of submission as displayed by what they do with their money. If they give to fake charlatan laymen intruders who tell them what they want to hear (rather than speaking the truth) then they are not submitted to the lordship of Christ. They are in fact reaping a curse by sowing financial seed into the cursed ground of false religion.

False Religion Verses Real

1 Kings 12:31-33 (NIV)

31 Jeroboam built shrines on high places and appointed priests from all sorts of people, even though they were not Levites.

32 He instituted a festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like the festival held in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. This he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves he had made. And at Bethel he also installed priests at the high places he had made.

33 On the fifteenth day of the eighth month, a month of his own choosing, he offered sacrifices on the altar he had built at Bethel. So he instituted the festival for the Israelites and went up to the altar to make offerings.

The kingdom of Israel was split after the death of Solomon and ten of the tribes of Israel appointed their own king named Jeroboam who was formerly a labor foreman that worked under King Solomon to do work projects. This Jeroboam instituted his own false religion setting up idol worship in Dan and Bethel and stated that these golden calf-images were the gods that brought them out of Egypt (just like the idol worship at Mount Horeb instituted by Aaron who also made a golden calf idol).

Jeroboam appointed anyone to be priests who were looking for a livelihood from false religion and appointed these fake priests who were not of the lineage of the Levites (those chosen by God to minister).

Jeroboam also instituted his own religious festival days on a day of his own choosing rather than following appointed times given by the God of Israel. Everything that Jeroboam did was a false religion which “aped” the true form of worship established in the temple location at Jerusalem.

Instead of the people going to Jerusalem to present their tithes and offerings to the Lord, they instead gave their tithes and offerings as sacrifices to the calf-idols manufactured by Jeroboam and placed in Dan and Bethel. It was all about convenience so that the people could have what they wanted without traveling all the way to Jerusalem to worship the God of Israel.

It should be noted however that giving tithes and offerings at the idol worship centers at Dan and Bethel was not the same thing as giving tithes and offerings to the God of Israel in the temple God where God had chosen to place his Name.

Nehemiah 1:9 (NIV)

9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’

God had a specific place chosen for the dwelling place of his Name and this was not at Dan or Bethel (as chosen by Jeroboam for his false religion centers).

Jeremiah 7:12-14 (NIV)

12 “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel.

13 While you were doing all these things, declares the LORD, I spoke to you again and again, but you did not listen; I called you, but you did not answer.

14 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your fathers.

At one time the place of worship was located at Shiloh but because of the sin of the people this place of worship was destroyed. God then had the temple built in Jerusalem during the time of Solomon for a place to put his Name. But because of the sin of the people this temple was also destroyed.

1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV)

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

Today the temple of God is among those believers who have come to trust in the Name of the Lord and have been spiritually reborn. No longer do they have to travel to Jerusalem to worship God because people of all languages and cultures and tribes can worship the God of Israel wherever they are at.

Believers do not have to carry their tithes to Jerusalem to a temple there but they are required to give their tithes and offerings to those who are authorized by God as New Testament Levites (who serve in the Fivefold Ministry as Apostles and Prophets and Teacher and Pastors and Evangelists).

If they give to laymen intruders (Jeroboam-types) who invent their own man-pleasing religion then they are not giving to God and are not honoring God by their giving. If young people give to an entertainment-based church that provides them with Christian concerts at every church service then this is not giving to God but to laymen intruders who are running a false religion to please the people to create a livelihood for themselves. If a businessman gives to a dead social club church run by a laymen activity director (with a degree in theology) then they are not giving to God but to a social club leader that flatters them for their money.

All dead religion engages in human flattery in order to harvest money from people. But this is not giving to God any more than giving tithes and offerings at Dan and Bethel is worshipping God. Those who engage in this behavior are under self-deception pretending they are giving to God when in fact they are sowing into cursed ground of false religion which only gives them what they want to hear.

Giving Finances is like Sowing Seed

Whenever someone gives money this is the same thing as a farmer sowing seed. If they sow their financial seed (giving of tithes and offerings) into false religion they will reap a curse like sowing seed in radioactive soil that will produce radioactive or toxic fruit or grain or other food. Only if they sow into good soil that is authorized by God and led by NT Levites of the Fivefold ministry will they reap a blessing from God for their giving.

Many people try to give to social projects which try to help the poor when in fact the poor they are helping are cursed by God for idol worship and for engaging in vices and sexual immorality and for breaking God’s laws. Trying to bless those who are cursed by God will cause the givers to be cursed by sowing into cursed ground.

Giving to a fake charlatan laymen ministry intruder is just as cursed as helping a vice-ridden hobo on the streets who is homeless because he spends all of his income on alcohol, tobacco and drugs. Helping such people only gives them more money for vices.

In the same way helping a laymen intruder is only encouraging them to continue in their false religion and continue making money off of people by giving them what they want. But this behavior has no consideration for the future when both the laymen ministry intruder and the congregation that follows him will end up in hell! They only live for the moment to make money and spend money and do what they want without regard for the long-term effects of their temporal decisions on earth. Everyone is happy until the time they die and stand before the judgment throne of Christ and have to give an answer for expending their entire lives engaged in false religion.

Fake College Degree Compared to False Religion

This is like the fake university educational systems where the education degenerated into being nothing more than a glorified babysitting service. The parents are happy to get their teenage kids out of the house to send them to school. The teenagers are having fun socializing with their friends at school. The school makes big money from tuition payments and student loan money. The school gives A’s to anyone with a “pulse” so both the parents and their children are happy with straight-A report cards! The professors pull some information from the internet to give out in class and enjoy a good salary as a professor (complete with long vacation times).

But again, everyone is happy until the students graduate and find they have no employable skills and are unable to find a job because they took a fake course of study in a non-professional degree that was only created to entertain students and milk them of student loan money.

This sort of fake-education is just like false religion. In false religion everyone is happy because the laymen ministry intruder tells the congregation that they can go to heaven simply by repeating a salvation prayer. There is no teaching about lordship or repentance or forsaking idols of the heart. The adherents of this false religion are promised blessing by giving to the Lord when in fact the givers are not supporting God’s work whatsoever! They are giving to a layman ministry intruder who makes good money off their social club as a religious entertainment center.

The comparison of fake education and false religion illustrates the fact that under both scenarios everyone is happy until graduation day (when they find out it was all a waste of time and money)! In the same way, on judgment day those involved in false religion will find out that they expended their lives on earth chasing vanity. Those involved in false religion are occupied in vanity by being given a few new keys of success every week as a new “carrot-on-a-string” to keep them involved in pursuing religious vanity without learning anything that will qualify them for heaven.

This is just like a student taking a fake course of study (non-professional degree) that is only created to entertain them and milk them of student loan money. When they graduate, they will discover that they have no skills with which to obtain employment for themselves and are unable to start a business or do anything whatsoever related to their course of study.

In the same way, what will people do when they die and face the judgment throne and have done nothing for God and discover that all of their giving on earth went to support false religion. There will be nothing credited to their accounts in heaven for their “giving” when that giving was all directed toward false religion. Everyone is a loser when they follow false religion (which is engaging in self-deception).

This is like those who engage in the pursue of fake college degrees and the parents end up with unemployed “adult-children” living in their basements because these college graduates never learned anything that could get them a job in real life.

In the same way, “What good is it to waste one’s life in false religion?” In the end there is no benefit whatsoever in following the Jeroboam-types of self-invented religions only created to make a living for those who are “laymen” ministry intruders of false religion.
