1 Kings 2:2 (ESV)
2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man,

King David admonished his son Solomon (who was given leadership authority to rule after David) that he should be strong and show himself a man. It is a requirement that leadership positions be filled with real men who are strong and masculine and do not hesitate to do what is right. These manly qualities are totally opposite of women and beta male eunuches who want to please everyone and whose decisions result in the ruination of any country unfortunate enough to have such self-serving imbeciles occupying civil leadership positions. See the link “Strong Leader Verses Dictator” for more details.

Simple Illustration of Women Handing Out Free Ice-Cream for Everyone

Women and beta males (who think like women) would love for example to give out free ice-cream to everyone. However, such an action is not sustainable and if all ice-cream companies were forced to give out free ice-cream then they would soon all go broke. Charging for the ice-cream allows the business to become sustainable so that they can buy more refrigerated delivery trucks and build more ice-cream factories and develop more flavors and expand their business by continual reinvestment of profits. While this may seem like a rather simple and foolish illustration, this however touches on the major factor of how “feminine thinking” operates. This “defective thinking” is what causes every decision made by women (and beta males eunuches) who serve in civil leadership positions to bring ruination upon any nation that is unfortunate enough to find themselves stuck under the feminine leadership of such liberal people.

Joseph Did Not Hand Out Free Grain

It should be noted that during the seven-year famine, Joseph did not hand out free grain to everyone. The people had to pay for the grain with money and when the money was all spent then they had to bring their livestock as payment for the grain and then when they had no more livestock left then they had to sell their land in exchange for grain. The fact remains that Joseph was able to help people because of the wealth that these same people spent for the grain. Even the grain itself was collected from the same people during the years of abundance only to be resold back to them again during the years of famine that followed.

Genesis 47:14–26 (NASB95)
14 Joseph gathered all the money that was found in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan for the grain which they bought, and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house.
15 When the money was all spent in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, “Give us food, for why should we die in your presence? For our money is gone.”
16 Then Joseph said, “Give up your livestock, and I will give you food for your livestock, since your money is gone.”
17 So they brought their livestock to Joseph, and Joseph gave them food in exchange for the horses and the flocks and the herds and the donkeys; and he fed them with food in exchange for all their livestock that year.
18 When that year was ended, they came to him the next year and said to him, “We will not hide from my lord that our money is all spent, and the cattle are my lord’s. There is nothing left for my lord except our bodies and our lands.
19 “Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for food, and we and our land will be slaves to Pharaoh. So give us seed, that we may live and not die, and that the land may not be desolate.”
20 So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh, for every Egyptian sold his field, because the famine was severe upon them. Thus the land became Pharaoh’s.
21 As for the people, he removed them to the cities from one end of Egypt’s border to the other.
22 Only the land of the priests he did not buy, for the priests had an allotment from Pharaoh, and they lived off the allotment which Pharaoh gave them. Therefore, they did not sell their land.
23 Then Joseph said to the people, “Behold, I have today bought you and your land for Pharaoh; now, here is seed for you, and you may sow the land.
24 “At the harvest you shall give a fifth to Pharaoh, and four-fifths shall be your own for seed of the field and for your food and for those of your households and as food for your little ones.”
25 So they said, “You have saved our lives! Let us find favor in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s slaves.”
26 Joseph made it a statute concerning the land of Egypt valid to this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth; only the land of the priests did not become Pharaoh’s.

This account of the management of the Jewish administrator (Joseph in Egypt) reveals a “key principle” for any man who serves in the role of a good civil leader. The fact of the matter is that a good civil leader cannot be giving out things for free! People must pay for the things they receive because when they pay for it then they will have respect for what is given to them and they will not waste it. In the end, the people that Joseph saved from famine were allowed to farm the land and were allowed to also keep 80% of their income for themselves (while paying 20% of their income to the government of Egypt). This 20% tax-revenue provided the Egyptian government with the funds needed to organize the country in a civilized and advanced manner.

Vladimir Putin Taxed Mafia to Fund Government

This same thing was also true of Vladmir Putin (the current president of Russia) who assumed leadership authority over his nation shortly after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Soviet communists had seized all private industry and largely destroyed all personal incentive and totally demolished the free enterprise system in Russia. This left the general population in “survival mode” as people barely had enough to stay alive. It was under this tough situation that Putin began his leadership program as he sought to restore his country to a place of normalcy again. In order to start over from scratch, Putin had to tax the mafia who were then running the Russian black market. At this time it was like a “wild west” type of situation but Putin’s actions of taxing the mafia provided the Russian government some needed funding to restore civil service and to restore general order to the nation again. This is similar to how Joseph was a strong leader and after he restored the people back into being grain producers again, then he taxed them 20% to go to the Egyptian government to run the country. Again, it should be noted that a strong leader does not hand out resources for free to everyone like a woman trying to give free candy to all of the children she sees. The people had to pay for what they received and they also had to pay taxes on what they produced. This is the pathway toward establishing an operational government that is good for everyone in the country. In order to have a operation economic system there must be a good police and military to keep order and there must be roads and bridges and docks and piers for transporting goods. There also must be a reliable banking system so people can be paid for goods sold and laborers can paid their wages. All of this costs money and it is for this reason that a civilized nation will charge its citizens taxes so that the government has the funds needed to keep and maintain an operational economic system. See the link “Civil Leaders Dealing With Tough Situations” for more details of how Putin restored Russia following the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Isaac Reinvested His Profits for Expansion

Genesis 26:12–14 (NASB95)
12 Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,
13 and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
14 for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.

Isaac was taught biblical principles to live by from his father Abraham who received this same revelation from God. The biblical principle of seedtime and harvest can be seen in everything that Isaac did.

Genesis 8:22 (NASB95)
22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease.”

The principle of seedtime and harvest means that a farmer should always save seed to plant so that he will have a continual harvest in the future. The same is also true of livestock because if they eat all of their animals and save none for reproduction then they would come to nothing and go broke and starve to death. This is illustrated by the simple analogy of women and eunuches trying to hand out free ice-cream to everyone which is not sustainable and they would eventually go broke and there would be no more ice-cream available for anyone.

Genesis 31:38 (NASB95)
38 “These twenty years I have been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten the rams of your flocks.

Jacob served faithfully under his father-in-law Laban and did not even eat any of the rams of the flock. This is significant because it is only the rams that were available for food. The shepherds typically did not eat the female livestock because they kept the females for reproduction so they can have more lambs for the future. They could eat all of the excess males however because they only needed to keep a few males for breeding purposes and all of the rest could be sold for cash or eaten as food.

Genesis 26:12–14 (NASB95)
12 Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,
13 and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
14 for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.

Again, back to the story of Isaac who was living in the land of the Philistines. Isaac sowed in the land and reaped a hundred times more than what he had originally sown. The prosperity of Isaac began to increase and the more wealth that Isaac received the more he was able to invest in his agricultural operations. So with the income from grain sales for example, Isaac could buy more land and buy more plows and buy more oxen to pull the plows and he could hire more workers to run the plows. This means that Isaac could plant more acres of grain every year so that his income was greatly multiplied. Isaac could continually have a greater income that the previous year’s income because he was constantly reinvesting his profits into his farming operations.

The illustration of planting apple trees can also illustrate this principle because if a man wants to eat apples then he has to have the foresight to plant apple trees. It might take a decade before the apple trees produce fruit but once they are producing then the farmer can have thousands of kilos of apples harvested every year.

Again it is having foresight that makes all of the difference. In fact, the Philistines were not prospering in their own land because they were not following the biblical principles of seedtime and harvest (which Isaac learned from Abraham who learned these principles from God). The Philistines could have followed the same principles of prosperity but they did not.

Godless People Destroy Future Prosperity

Genesis 26:15 (NASB95)
15 Now all the wells which his father’s servants had dug in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines stopped up by filling them with earth.

The godless Philistines were jealous of this prosperous Jewish farmer “Isaac” so they labored hard to plug up the wells that Abraham had dug. These Philistines wanted to cut off water to the livestock of Isaac and to keep him from having water to irrigate his crops. Unbelievers are typically like this and they will make decisions that will destroy the future prosperity for others.

Bad Culture Creates Poverty

I served as a missionary bible teacher in the Philippines for over 14-years and I saw many examples of how bad culture can destroy prosperity and create poverty instead. This is similar to how the Philistines worked to “stop-up” the wells dug by Abraham in an attempt to cut off prosperity to the Jews.

One example of bad Filipino culture is how a newly married couple will borrow money from everyone that they can for paying for a one-day wedding party. Once I was traveling on a public bus from Manila to Banaue Ifugao in the north. On one of the turns of the mountainous road the bus driver looked down and spotted a wedding celebration going on in the valley below the highway. I was shocked that the bus driver stopped the bus and everyone on board immediately got off and they all ran down into the valley and helped themselves with the free food being offered at this wedding. These people were all strangers and did not have any relations to the bride or the groom or any of their relatives! But in fact this food was not free because it was paid for by borrowed money paid by the bride and groom. It is this practice of having a one-day gluttony party (using borrowed money) that has caused many of these newly married couples to become deeply enslaved in debt which keeps them in poverty for the rest of their lives. The huge amount of money they borrowed to buy hundreds of kilos of rice and to butcher many pigs could have been more than enough money for them to buy a lot of land and build a new home for themselves. Instead the newly married couple are forced to move into the household of the parents of the bride. This seems to be a technical way of getting around the scripture that says a man is to leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife. So since it is not the father and mother of the groom then they seem to think it is OK to move into the household of the father and mother of the bride. But it is God’s intention that every man be the head of his own household and this cannot happen if a man is living under the roof of someone else. Moving into the household of the brides parents is causing the newly married man to come under the authority of the head of the household (his new father-in-law). Such a practice is not done according to biblical principle that every newly married man is to have his own household and become the authority within his own newly formed household of his own. He is not to come under the authority of anyone else (no matter if it is the household of his wife’s parents or even his own parents). He is to start his own household and start a new family unit where this newly married man is the head of his own family unit.

So the newly married Filipino couple begin their married life completely enslaved with debt from the first day of marriage and they have no money to buy a lot or build their own house. This is the reason for the large number of adult married children which are still living within the home of their parents in the Philippines. This behavior and these customs are part of Filipino culture which is clearly against biblical precedent.

Borrowing Money for A Gluttony Party is Not Investment

So in the example of the Filipino newly married couple, borrowing money so that everyone (even strangers) can come and have a big gluttony party on their wedding day is not something that can be considered to be an investment. Isaac on the other hand planted seed and at harvest time he received financial income from the grain he harvested. But Isaac did not have a gluttony party and invite everyone over (including strangers) to have a big party and consume it all! Instead Isaac invested in buying more land and buying more plows and buying more oxen and hiring more servants to be able to increase the number of acres of tillage he planted every year. In this manner, Isaac became increasingly more prosperous with every year that passed by because he was constantly reinvesting to expand his agricultural operations.

Genesis 26:12–14 (NASB95)
12 Now Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. And the LORD blessed him,
13 and the man became rich, and continued to grow richer until he became very wealthy;
14 for he had possessions of flocks and herds and a great household, so that the Philistines envied him.

Again, this scripture says that Isaac become rich and continued to grow richer progressively year after year until he was hugely wealthy. Isaac expanded continually until he had great possessions of flocks and herds and a great household of workers and their families.

One Night Millionaire

When I was in southern Leyte Island in the Philippines, I was told the story of a “one-night” millionaire. There was a fisherman who happened upon a school of fish in the ocean and he was able to net a large number of fish. These fish were worth over 10,000.00 USD (which was millions in their currency at that time). But when he returned to port and sold his fish, he called the entire town together and spent all he had made on free beer for everyone to celebrate. Thus he was a millionaire for one night only and then was broke again after spending everything he had on giving “free beer” to everyone.

This is a true story about the “one-night” millionaire that really happened but it supports the same idea as our simple illustration of someone foolishly trying to give out free ice-cream to everyone, only to go broke in doing so. The fisherman who made $10,000.00 USD in one night could have reinvested that money to buy more or better fishing equipment to expand his fishing business. Instead he lost it all by trying to buy friendship from everyone with his offer of free beer!

Jewish People First Place in “Forbes Fortune 500” Rich List

It should be noted that the Jewish people represent only about 2% of the population in the United States but they occupy 67% of the richest people listed on the “Forbes Fortune 500” rich list. This is because Jewish culture respects money and views money as a source of investment. They do not engage in trying to buy free beer for everyone in town and when they get married they do not try to feed everyone for free (including strangers) who have no relation to the bride or the groom. This Jewish culture is exactly opposite of Filipino culture in this respect.

The Gospel Purified Culture

When people get saved and give their lives to the Lord and begin to order their behavior according to biblical precedent then this can purify their culture. If they have bad culture that causes poverty [like spending everything they have on giving out free beer or borrowing money to provide free food (even to strangers)] at a wedding feast, then they can reverse bad culture by obeying biblical precedent. They can learn to save money and reinvest like Isaac instead of blowing everything they get their hands on. The Philistines envied Isaac because he was prospering (following Jewish culture) while they were languishing in poverty following their pagan culture. People need to get saved and begin to live their lives according to biblical precedent as Isaac did. If they defend their cursed behavior saying it is their “Culture” and therefore they falsely assume that it should be changed, then they will go to their graves in poverty. Their misery on earth is largely caused by a result of following what their own “unbiblical” culture dictates (which goes against biblical principles). Going against the bible will bring a curse and this includes the curse of poverty as well.

When Communists Destroy Biblical Precedent and Ban the Bible

Godless communists like the CCP of China will ban the bible and even place Christians into factory prisons as a punishment for being believers. But this persecution and eradication of the bible from communist culture results in godless moral bankruptcy in China. When people have no fear of God and they do not obey God’s commands then they will become morally deficient. Contractors will steal materials from projects and build things substandard in order to enrich themselves. Civil leaders will issue building permits in exchange for payment of large bribes. But if everyone from top to bottom is stealing then the county can never progress.

Proverbs 14:34 (NASB95)
34 Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a disgrace to any people.

The bible says that righteousness exalts a nation. This means that when people from top to bottom all obey God’s laws then this will create an environment where honest business can thrive. This will result in an entire nation becoming prosperous and wealthy as everyone obeys God’s commands (such as do not steal). So righteousness exalts a nation and will cause any nation to prosper if they have a majority of people doing what is right in God’s sight.

But sin (like stealing and embezzlement) is a disgrace to any people. In a nation that is void of biblical morals they will never progress. Their projects will be falling apart and they will constantly have to rebuild fake projects that are built substandard because of theft and embezzlement. Many large apartment buildings and bridges and roads and other infrastructure have been demolished in communist China because of “godless” and “morally deficient” cheating contractors and “bribe-taking” civil leaders who all contributed toward these projects being built in substandard manner. Below are some example videos links of projects in China that had to be destroyed because they were built in substandard manner. See the following links for more details:

Civil Leaders Be Strong and Manly

It may seem that I have drifted away from the main subject of this lesson and have gone on a long tangent. However this lesson is about strong men acting within the role of being strong civil leaders. They have to be strong leaders and do what is right for the long-term benefit of the majority of people. They cannot be chasing after pleasing various minorities “like sodomites” (as female civil leaders often do). Real men have to do what is right for the majority and this means that people should be able to prosper and raise their own families in peace. If people are forced to have sodomite indoctrination defile their children in school (made compulsory by women civil leaders trying to please these sodomite minorities) then this will bring a curse to any nation. See the link “Rise of the One-World Ruler” for more details about Sodomy-the Fullness of Sin.

Real men will do what is right for the majority of the population and they will stand firm on godly convictions regardless if liberals attempt to shame them or falsely label them as dictators. The difference between a dictator and a good leader is the results. A dictator only serves himself but a strong leader will cause the people who follow him to prosper. See the link “Strong Leader Verses Dictator” for more details.

2 Samuel 23:3 (ESV)
3 The God of Israel has spoken; the Rock of Israel has said to me: When one rules justly over men, ruling in the fear of God,

A godly civil leader (like King David) is a man who is strong and bold and who rules justly over the people entrusted to his care. Such a godly man fears God and therefore does what is in the best interests of the people (rather than engaging in self-serving purposes). The great difference between President Park, Chung Hee of South Korea and the Kim dynasty of North Korea is a good illustration of this. The Kim dynasty of North Korea only served themselves for three generations while President Park, Chung Hee of South Korea did what was in the best interests of his people. Again see the link “Strong Leader Verses Dictator” for more details.

Good Advice for Incoming Civil Leaders and Kings

1 Kings 2:1–3 (ESV)
1 When David’s time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying,
2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man,
3 and keep the charge of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn,

Just before King David passed away, he gave instructions to his son Solomon as his successor. He told Solomon that he should be strong and show himself a man. This means he was to do what is right and not be moved by trying to please every group or minority of every kind (like women typically do if they infiltrate civil leadership positions).

David also instructed Solomon to keep the charge of God by walking in God’s ways and keeping God’s statures and keeping God’s commands and following God’s rules and God’s testimonies as are written in the Law of Moses. If Solomon would not fail to do this then he would be blessed by God and he would prosper in whatever he did. God’s blessing is upon the civil leaders who obey what God has said and who follow the moral principles found in the bible.

Godly Civil Leaders Are To Meditate on God’s Word

Deuteronomy 17:18–20 (NASB95)
18 “Now it shall come about when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests.
19 “It shall be with him and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, by carefully observing all the words of this law and these statutes,
20 that his heart may not be lifted up above his countrymen and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, to the right or the left, so that he and his sons may continue long in his kingdom in the midst of Israel.

Part of the requirements of being a king was that the civil leader was to copy out the entire law of God on a scroll in the presence of the Levitical priests (so he could not alter anything to suit his own tastes). He had to make a legitimate copy of the law of God from the book of Moses and add nothing to it nor take anything from it. The king was then required to read from this law daily and to meditate on God’s words all of the days of his life so that he would learn to fear the Lord his God and not grow arrogant and suppose he was better than his own country men. If he would do this daily then he would become a godly leader who ruled justly for the benefit of his people rather than for selfish or self-centered purposes of his own. Such a civil leader was not to turn aside from the commandment of God from the right or the left and if he did this he would be granted a long and secure kingdom by God’s blessing upon him and his nation.

King David Was A Civil Leader Who Meditated On God’s Word

Psalm 119:98–100 (NASB95)
98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, For they are ever mine.
99 I have more insight than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged, Because I have observed Your precepts.

King David became wise and dealt wisely in the affairs of life because he would habitually mediate on the word of God daily. He said that the meditation of God’s word is what made him wise in dealing with the natural affairs of life and for the administration of his government.

King Solomon’s Wisdom Came From God

1 Kings 4:29–32 (NASB95)
29 Now God gave Solomon wisdom and very great discernment and breadth of mind, like the sand that is on the seashore.
30 Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the sons of the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 For he was wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol; and his fame was known in all the surrounding nations.
32 He also spoke 3,000 proverbs, and his songs were 1,005.

God gave Solomon very great discernment and large breath of mind that was unlimited. He was wiser than all of the leaders and counselors of the earth. Solomon wrote 3,000 proverbs and 1,0005 songs. Today we have preserved in the bible 31-chapters of the book of Proverbs and the Song of Solomon. This may be only about 10% of what Solomon had written in his lifetime but much of it may have been lost over time. But I believe what has been persevered in the Book of Proverbs and the Song of Solomon and the Book of Ecclesiastes is enough to give us the essence of what is important. If godly strong men (serving as civil leaders today) will meditate on these things they will have enough wisdom and insight from God to operate in successful manner and to cause their nations to prosper as they follow biblical principles.

A bible-based education program should be affected for all of the citizens so that they can learn the fear of God from the top to the bottom of their entire society. It is the fear of the Lord that causes righteousness in society and it is righteousness that causes any nation to prosper under the blessing of God.
