Pathway to Prayer

Approaching God in Prayer

1. Tabernacle Gates

The purpose of this step is for the believer to magnify God in their minds and focus on God’s greatness and power and how that nothing is impossible for God. Focusing on the positive drives out doubt and fear and causes the faith of the believer to soar. Having positive state of mind is the first step in approaching God because God does not dwell with the negative.

See the link “Tabernacle Gates” for more details.

Pray: I magnify the Lord for his greatness and Omnipotent power. Nothing is too difficult for the Lord who made the heavens and the earth! I magnify God who says to me, “I AM your healer.” I magnify God who says to me, “I am your Provider.” I magnify God who says to me, “I am your wisdom.” I magnify God’s Names because he says to me, “I AM whatever you need me to be!”

Then enter God’s courts with thanksgiving and praise recalling all the good that he has done in the past and also give thanksgiving for all the great things he is going to do in the future. Magnifying the Lord puts the believer in a positive state of mind which is a necessary step in the progression toward God in prayer. Making a list of all the good things God has done in the past can also be helpful for the believer and can stir their faith and keeping a list of answered prayers is also beneficial for recalling all the good things God has done with healing and provision in the past knowing that God has not changed and he can do even greater things for the future.

Related scriptures:

Isaiah 26:3 (NLT2)

3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Part of magnifying God in the mind of the believers is to meditate on how big and powerful God is until their problems seems like “nothing” by comparison. Those believers who fix their thoughts upon God’s greatness (magnifying God in their minds) will be kept in perfect peace because they trust in the Lord who is greater than all things. This is an important step in coming before the Lord.

Job 36:24 (NKJV)

24 “Remember to magnify His work, Of which men have sung.

The believer should magnify God for the great works he has done just as God’s people have done by singing worship songs to the Lord.

Exodus 15:1-5 (NIV)

1 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: “I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted. The horse and its rider he has hurled into the sea.

2 The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

3 The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army he has hurled into the sea. The best of Pharaoh’s officers are drowned in the Red Sea.

5 The deep waters have covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.

The Israelites worshiped God in song for his greatness when God had drown their slave-drivers in the depths of the Red Sea. This worship magnified God in their minds as they focused on the great things God had done for them.

Psalm 76:6 (NASB)

6 At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both rider and horse were cast into a dead sleep.

David composed a song of worship about how great God was when he had drown the horses and chariots of the enemies of the children of Israel in the Red Sea! Remembering the greatness of God is a way to magnify God in the mind of the believer to put them into a positive state of mind before approaching God in prayer.

Psalm 34:3 (NASB)

3 O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together.

To magnify the Lord is to exalt his Name by worshipping God for his greatness. Nothing is too difficult for the Lord. This praise magnifies God in the minds of the believer until their problems seem like “nothing” in comparison to the greatness of their God.

Psalm 69:30 (NASB)

30 I will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving.

The Lord is magnified by the songs of thanksgiving of his people. The believers should worship God for his greatness and so he will be magnified in their minds and thoughts.

Acts 10:46 (NKJV)

46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God . . .

Praying in tongues is a way to magnify God because the Holy Spirit always magnifies the Lord and his greatness when the believer prays in tongues. The believer should sing songs of worship in tongues which magnify God for his greatness and also praying in the spirit (praying in tongues) is a way to worship God for his greatness. This is all part of entering the courts of God with thanksgiving and magnifying God in their minds by meditating upon the great things God has done.

1 Corinthians 14:14-15 (NLT2)

14 For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying.

15 Well then, what shall I do? I will pray in the spirit, and I will also pray in words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will also sing in words I understand.

When a believer prays in tongues, their born-again human spirit is praying. When a Spirit-filled believer sings in the spirit their born-again human spirit is singing. Spirit-filled believers can pray in the spirit (pray in tongues) and they can sing in the spirit (singing a melody in tongues) and this will offer up thanksgiving and magnify God as they pray and sing in the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:19 (NASB)

19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;

The Spirit-Filled believer can make melody in their hearts to the Lord as they sing in the spirit in tongues. Singing spiritual songs is a way of magnifying God by singing in the Spirit.

2. Brazen Altar

The next step in the progression is the Brazen Altar which represents the sacrifice of Jesus and his atonement. Worshiping the Lord for all of the manifold provisions of redemption also serves the purpose to magnify the Lord in the minds of the believers before they make their approach toward God. It causes faith to rise in their hearts enabling them to be able to receive every benefit provided for them by faith through the atonement.

See the link “Brazen Altar” for more details.

Pray: I thank God for the sacrifice of Yeshua (Jesus) the Jewish Messiah and for all that his redemptive work on the cross as purchased for me as a believer through the atonement. I thank God I was redeemed from the bitterness of poverty and burdensome toil of the curse caused by Adam. The curse of Adam caused thorns and thistles to grow which represents all failure in life. But I have been redeemed from the curse by the blood of Jesus. I am now a beneficiary of the blessings of Abraham which has come upon the Gentiles by faith in Jesus. I now receive his work of atonement. I have the blessings of Abraham and I am a blessed person. God causes everything I touch to prosper and the blessing of God follows me all the days of my life.

Pray: I thank God that I was redeemed from the curse of sickness and disease and pain. Through the stripes that Jesus received at the courtyard of Pilate, my sickness and disease has been taken away. By his stripes I am healed. I was healed completely spirit and soul and body. This redemptive work was already accomplished over 2,000-years ago and is now available for every believer who will appropriate this blessing by faith. I praise the Lord for divine healing through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Numbers 21:9 (NLT2)

9 So Moses made a snake out of bronze and attached it to a pole. Then anyone who was bitten by a snake could look at the bronze snake and be healed!

The believer is to look to Jesus for all of their needs just as the children of Israel looked up at the bronze serpent attached to the pole and were healed of the deadly venom (representing the curse of sin). So, the believer can look to Jesus to be healed of sickness and disease as well as receive redemption from the curse of poverty and every type of curse known to humanity. All types of curse and disease were paid for by the sacrificial work of Jesus upon the cross and whoever looks to the Lord can receive salvation and healing and prosperity and anything that they need to live a happy and fulfilled life upon the earth.

Praise the Lord for his redemptive work because it covers any type of human need. Say, ” I am healed by the blood of Jesus!” I am redeemed from the curse!” I am (insert any type of human need that you may have)! Praise the Lord for every redemptive blessing that has been made available to meet the needs of humanity for anything that they might have need of on earth.

3. Laver

The Laver speaks of confession and cleansing of daily sins. The atoning work of Christ has provided redemption for all sins of humanity in general yet the believer still needs to examine their hearts and confess and forsake sins that they commit on a daily basis. The Laver was used to wash the hands and the feet speaking of those parts of the body that are in contact with the world and are soiled by daily use. The Laver represents cleansing of daily sins for this reason.

See the link “Laver” for more details.

Pray: I thank God for the atoning work of Christ that has redeemed me from all unrighteousness. I however come before the Lord and examine my own heart and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything that I may need to repent of for offenses related to thoughts or attitudes or words or actions that are displeasing in the sight of God.

Exodus 30:18-21 (NIV)

18 “Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water in it.

19 Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it.

20 Whenever they enter the Tent of Meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting an offering made to the LORD by fire,

21 they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”

Washing the hands and feet represent confession and cleansing of daily sins and keeping and maintaining a good heart condition before God that is clean and pure and free from unrepentant sin.

The believer should spend some time of reflection at this point and do some heart examination confessing and repenting of anything that could stand in the way of being restored to fellowship with God. The believer should know that if they harbor any unrepentant sin it will cause their prayers to be hindered and their fellowship with God broken. Believers must confess their sin and repent of it and forsake sin in order to receive full restoration with the Lord. Then the believer can continue in their progression toward the Lord with a happy heart that is clean and pure in God’s sight.

4. Menorah

The Jewish Menorah is a seven-branched lampstand that represents the seven-Spirits of God. The believer should worship the Spirit of God for his seven-attributes which serves the purpose of magnifying in the believer’s mind the “Greater One” who dwells inside of them. This also contributes to putting them in a positive state of mind prior to their approach to God.

See the link “Menorah” for more details.

Pray in line with the seven attributes of the Holy Spirit praying:

1. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the Lord which represents “lordship” and submission of the Spirit-Filled believer to the heavenly Father. I worship the Holy Spirit for his empowering grace to work “lordship” in every aspect of my life.

2. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Wisdom of God which is imparted to the Spirit-Filled believer. I worship the Holy Spirit who is the wisdom of God made manifest within me. I have God’s wisdom to deal wisely in all affairs of life by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells within me.

3. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Understanding which represents the understanding of God imparted by the Holy Spirit within me. I have understanding how to deal with all situations in life by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within me.

4. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Counsel which represents the counsel of God imparted within me. By the power of the Holy Spirit I have wise counsel for myself and my family and to make leadership decisions for those who follow me.

5. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Might which represents the power of God which is within me by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The might of God exists within me as a Spirit-Filled believer for accomplishing God’s purposes on the earth.

6. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Knowledge which represents the knowledge of God by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within me. I have God’s knowledge for all situations enabling me to solve problems and deal wisely in the affairs of life.

7. I worship the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord which represents the fear of God by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit within me which enables me to walk in holiness and live a life that is pleasing in God’s sight.

The believer should worship the Lord for each of the seven-attributes of the Holy Spirit within them and know and realize these attributes are made manifest within them as they become conscience and aware of the Holy Spirit working through their personal lives.

5. Bread of Presence

The Bread of Presence speaks of the word of God. Here the believer should carefully formulate their prayer requests based upon the scripture. God’s word is his “will” so prayers formulated based on God’s word find ready acceptance before God’s throne.

See the link “Bread of Presence” for more details.

Formulate Scripture-Based Petitions

The believer should compile a scripture list at this point which will be used to formulate scripture-based prayer requests which will be offered up at the next stage before the Altar of Incense.

Scripture Memory and Confession

Luke 6:47-49 (HCSB)

47 I will show you what someone is like who comes to Me, hears My words, and acts on them:

48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. When the flood came, the river crashed against that house and couldn’t shake it, because it was well built.

49 But the one who hears and does not act is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The river crashed against it, and immediately it collapsed. And the destruction of that house was great!”

The word of God provides a strong spiritual foundation for the believer to withstand any type of storm that might come against them. The time for the believer to prepare however is before these storms arrive. The believer is to mediate upon the word of God and memorize scriptures related to their needs. Then when the storms of life come against them they will remain steadfast and unmovable and will be unshaken by the event because they had already laid a solid foundation of the word in their lives prior to the storm’s arrival.

Having a memorized scripture list also becomes a “confession list” and the believer should go through this scripture list daily and speak these scriptures out loud. The word of God is the foundation for faith so having the word dwell within them by scripture memory and meditation will cause the believer to be grounded upon the solid rock of God’s word. Then they will be prepared in advance before the storms of life come against them. If they are facing a crisis which needs healing, they may need to go over their scripture memory list two-three times a day (or more) in order to take their medicine of God’s word. This is part of fighting the good fight of faith and standing firm and unmovable until they see the results.

See the link “Praying the Word” for more details.
6. Altar of Incense

The Altar of Incense represents the prayers of the saints. Believers are to formulate their specific prayer requests to God based upon the scripture. These prayer petitions should also be constructed from a positive point of view. This is the last step before entering the holy of holies to meet with God. See the link “Altar of Incense” for more details.

Pray: I thank God for meeting (such and such) a need as based on the promises of his word. I now make specific petition to the Lord for these requests as based upon the Word of God.

Again see the link “Praying the Word” for more details.

Here the believer should formulate and record specific prayer requests and date them so that they can come back and give thanksgiving to God that he has answered their prayers. Once their prayer petition has been made, they should simply stay in faith and thanksgiving until they see the manifestation of their answer. It is very helpful for them to keep a list of answered prayers because this will bolster their faith when they see that God is alive and real and can answer their specific prayers. Recalling what God has done in the past builds expectation that God will also do greater things in the future as well.

7. Ark of Covenant

The Ark of the Covenant contains the two stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God. These words “written in stone” represent the eternal covenant God has made available for humanity through the Jewish race. Receiving salvation by faith is the first step in entering into covenant relationship with God. In this last stage of prayer, the believer enters into the holy of holies and meets with God. This step represents those who have attained friendship with God and enter into God’s inner circle of friends.

See the link “Ark of the Covenant” for more details.

Pray: I come before you heavenly father by the blood of Jesus which cleanses me and qualifies me to boldly enter into your presence without guilt or shame. I have prepared my heart and mind in the previous stages of prayer and now I quiet myself before you to receive any directions or guidance you may have for my life. I am ready to record and obey anything that you direct me to do. I pray that your will and plan and purposes be made known and be confirmed in my life!

This is a time where the believer enters into the presence of God by prayer. They should have already prepared themselves to have a positive state of mind and should have already prepared their hearts by confession of sin and cleansing. They also will have presented their prayer requests already so they are now free from all mental distractions. Now they can give themselves to the Lord and quiet themselves to hear God’s plans and direction for their lives. This is part of “lordship” as they enter into God’s inner circle and desire to do nothing more and nothing less than to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.

Protective Gear

Ephesians 6:10-17 (NIV)

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,

15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Also, the believer should utilize their spiritual armor because they are in fact in a war and the weapons of their warfare are spiritual rather than natural.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (NLT2)

8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

The believer is to put on his spiritual armor so that they can stand against the onslaughts of the enemy. For example the helmet of salvation is designed to protect the mind of the believer against satanic imaginations of defeat and failure inserted into their minds.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV)

4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

The believer must train themselves to cast down every evil imagination and every evil thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Any type of satanic thought that is contrary to the word of God must be cast down.

See the link “Spiritual Armor” for more details.

The believer is to go down the list of “Spiritual Armor” and pray these things upon themselves and visualize themselves putting on God’s armor. Having an understanding and awareness of these things will greatly help them in effectiveness against the onslaughts of the enemy.

Heart Cleansing

Psalm 51:10 (NIV)

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

The believer should pray that the Lord would create in them a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within them. A pure heart has to do with having right motives in the sight of God and having a steadfast spirit means that the believer remains steadfast with God and unchanging by keeping a good heart condition maintained before God at all times.

Praying as a Friend of God

Those who have attained friendship with God will typically pray about things that God is concerned about. Abraham and Moses and Daniel and other righteous men were of this nature.

Ezekiel 22:30-31 (NLT2)

30 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

31 So now I will pour out my fury on them, consuming them with the fire of my anger. I will heap on their heads the full penalty for all their sins. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!”

This scripture speaks of standing in the gap which is something that is related to intercessory prayer.

Numbers 21:7 (NIV)

7 The people came to Moses and said, “We sinned when we spoke against the LORD and against you. Pray that the LORD will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed for the people.

When the people sinned against God with their uncontrolled words then this opened them up to judgment. Moses then prayed for them that the judgment of vipers against them would be stayed.

Numbers 11:1-2 (NLT2)

1 Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the LORD heard everything they said. Then the LORD’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.

2 Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to the LORD, the fire stopped.

Again, the people began to complain and sin with their mouth and a fire began to rage against them consuming the outskirts of the camp. They cried to Moses again who prayed for them and interceded that the judgment would cease.

Deuteronomy 9:19-20 (NIV)

19 I feared the anger and wrath of the LORD, for he was angry enough with you to destroy you. But again the LORD listened to me.

20 And the LORD was angry enough with Aaron to destroy him, but at that time I prayed for Aaron too.

When the people made a molten image in the form of a calf-idol this provoked God to anger and Moses again prayed for the people and also for Aaron that he would not be destroyed by judgment (for his part in this crime against God).

This is what intercession is all about when a man of God will intercede on behalf of the people. This intercession particularly applies to God’s people as in the case of Moses praying for the children of Israel and for Aaron his own brother.

But there is also a situation where the godless set themselves in rebellion against God and even inspire to create a godless society on earth seeking to thwart God’s plans to create an atheist State.

Psalm 2:1-9 (NIV)

1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?

2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One.

3 “Let us break their chains,” they say, “and throw off their fetters.”

4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.

5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,

6 “I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.”

7 I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.

8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.

9 You will rule them with an iron scepter; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

This is an example of those who are godless imagining that they can remove God and the things of God from the earth and to destroy Judeo/Christian culture to create a worldwide atheist state. These wicked people suppose that obedience to God’s laws is like having chains and fetters restrain their freedom to indulge in sin and wickedness.

But God says to his Son, ask of me and I will make the nations your inheritance. This speaks of the worldwide dominion of Christ when the Jewish Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) will return to the earth and all surviving nations will be compelled to serve and obey him! What they refused to do willing now they will be forced to do during the time of the millennial reign of Christ! All the surviving population of humans on earth will be forced to submit to the lordship of Christ in that day!

1 John 2:18 (NIV)

18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many Antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.

There are many Antichrists in the world now and anyone who has a spirit of rebellion against the Lord has the spirit of Antichrist because they are against Christ being lord over their lives.

Many nations are now being ruled by godless leaders who actively seek to restrain or abolish Judaeo/Christian culture (which is based upon biblical precedent for human living). The believer can pray against these plans and bind the demonic spirits who inspire wicked men and their evil agendas. The believer can also loose ministering spirits to go forth and fulfill the plan and purposes of God upon the earth. The believer can pray that godly men will put away passivity and rise up and provide godly leadership to glorify the Lord upon the earth.

Releasing Ministering Spirits

Hebrews 1:14 (NIV)

14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Angelic beings are sent forth as ministering spirits to serve those who are in the process of working out their salvation while alive on earth. The believer can therefore utilize these spiritual resources by sending forth the ministering spirits to bring things to pass.

Matthew 16:19 (NIV)

19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

The believer has been granted divine spiritual authority to bind the evil spirits that influence ungodly men. The believer can pray that godly men and godly leaders will rise up and do what is right and put a stop to the godlessness that prevails whenever good men do nothing.

The believer can then release ministering spirits to bring these things to pass in Jesus Name. The authority of the Name of Jesus is given to every believer to use to put a stop the work of the devil on earth which is carried out by godless and wicked men.

Prayer Petitions

A prayer petition list should be made out by every believer so that they can record and date the petitions that they have made. Once their petitions are made, they can then stay in faith and thanksgiving until they see the manifestation of what they have prayed. Once they have prayed, they do not have to repeat that prayer again knowing that God has already heard them.

List of Answered Prayers

It is also a good idea for the believer to make a list of answered prayers because they can go down that list and remember all of the good things God has done for them and all of the times that God has answered their specific prayer requests. This bolsters the faith of the believer as they meditate on all that God has done in the past and so they can be certain that God will do greater things in the future as well.

Intercessory Prayer

James 5:17-18 (NIV)

17 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.

18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.

Elijah prayed about things that were dear to God’s heart. He knew that the false idol of Baal was supposedly able to make it rain. The idol-worshipers would give credit to a false god Baal for the rain God provided. In order to show that Baal was powerless to make rain, Elijah prayed that there would be a drought for three and a half years. God answered his prayers and this proved that Baal worship was powerless to make rain.

In the same way, a believer can pray against those who are godless that their plans will come to nothing and that God will raise up godly leaders who will lead God’s people toward righteousness.

James 5:16 (NIV)

16 . . .The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

The prayers of believers are powerful and effective and they can pray God’s will be done upon the earth so righteousness will prevail.

Wicked Demoted and Godly Promoted

Esther 8:1-2 (NIV)

1 That same day King Xerxes gave Queen Esther the estate of Haman, the enemy of the Jews. And Mordecai came into the presence of the king, for Esther had told how he was related to her.

2 The king took off his signet ring, which he had reclaimed from Haman, and presented it to Mordecai. And Esther appointed him over Haman’s estate.

In the story of Queen Esther, the evil godless man Haman was demoted and fell from favor with the king and a godly Jewish man named Mordecai was promoted to replace Haman. Haman had engineered a plan to exterminate the entire Jewish race in every country. This was a satanic ploy to remove the knowledge of God from the earth by culling out God’s people.

Prayer for the nations can involve praying down God’s will upon the earth so that wicked men will be disposed and righteous men will be exalted into a place of leadership.

Esther 8:15-17 (NIV)

15 Mordecai left the king’s presence wearing royal garments of blue and white, a large crown of gold and a purple robe of fine linen. And the city of Susa held a joyous celebration.

16 For the Jews it was a time of happiness and joy, gladness and honor.

17 In every province and in every city, wherever the edict of the king went, there was joy and gladness among the Jews, with feasting and celebrating. And many people of other nationalities became Jews because fear of the Jews had seized them.

The believer can pray that God will raise up godly leaders and that they will be promoted to a position of leadership just as Mordecai the Jew was promoted who looked out for the welfare of God’s people. When godly men rule then the believers of any nation can enjoy peace and prosperity for themselves and their families.

Psalm 122:6-7 (NKJV)

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.

7 Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.”

When God’s people prosper then it brings peace and divine order to the entire earth. Praying for the peace of Jerusalem speaks of praying that the Jews find their rightful place in the plan of God upon the earth. When they are in their rightful place then peace and prosperity will flow to all nations which also order themselves according to biblical precedent. Judaeo/Christian culture (practiced by godly people) follows biblical principles enabling entire nations to experience divine order and peace and prosperity.

All things Working for the Good of the Believers

Romans 8:28 (NIV)

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Everything works for the good of the believers when they pray and make petition and release ministering spirits and pray in tongues so that the will of God be fulfilled upon the earth and the satanic agenda of wicked men be thwarted and come to nothing.

Prayer of Agreement

Matthew 18:19 (NIV)

19 “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

The “Prayer of Agreement” can be readily applied by married couples to agree together for answers to prayer.
