Sulfur Balls of Sodom
It should be noted that there are sulfur balls found in the area of Sodom and Gomorrah (located at the southern end of the Dead Sea in Israel). The remains of these ancient cities have evidence of a burn layer testifying they were destroyed by fire. There are also human bones found at these sites that were warped by a great heat. It is interesting that the evidence of the sulfur from this ancient disaster was burned up (where it fell upon land) but now (with the receding of the waters of the Dead Sea) it has been discovered that the sulfur balls that fell upon the water were extinguished and therefore remain intact until today. These balls of sulfur are still flammable and they burn like melted nylon material (which would stick to human flesh like liquid fire and keep burning until the fuel was spent)! It is a testimony of the destruction of God that fell upon these cities when God caused a meteorite comprised of pure sulfur to explode in the atmosphere above these cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and also over all of the towns in that region (which were given over to homosexual culture). This sin of sodomy is a sin against nature and represents the “fullness of sin” which brings God’s judgment upon those given-over to this moral depravity. The sulfur which landed upon the waters of the Dead Sea was extinguished and therefore remains today as a mute testimony of the judgment of God which fell upon these depraved people who were destroyed by this great cataclysmic event!
See the link “Rise of the One-World Ruler” which mentions the fullness of the sin of sodomy.
2 Peter 2:6 (NASB95)
6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter;
The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah serves as an example (until present times) to warn all future generations that they should not give themselves over to the same moral depravity as what caused the destruction of these ancient peoples in the time of Abraham and Lot.
Below is an image of a ball of burning sulfur found within the dry seabed of the receding Dead Sea. These ancient materials (which are still flammable) are found near the shoreline of the Dead Sea (within the region of the location of the former cities of Sodom and Gomorrah).
As these sulfur balls burn, they melt and drip hot molten sulfur (similar to how melted nylon material can also produce dripping “liquid-fire” that adheres to and burns anything it touches on contact. In this video link, archeologist [Joel P. Kramer] provides historic information of this ancient destruction. This evidence was found while visiting the ancient sites of Sodom and Gomorrah (as found in Southern Israel).

Genesis 19:27–28 (NASB95)
27 Now Abraham arose early in the morning and went to the place where he had stood before the LORD;
28 and he looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the valley, and he saw, and behold, the smoke of the land ascended like the smoke of a furnace.
This was a horrific event of destruction because molten sulfur rained down upon everyone and everything in that valley. This molten fire would stick to everything it touched and could not be extinguished until it burned itself out! This left no one alive and everything on the face of the earth (within that entire sodomite valley) was entirely burned up.
Jeremiah 50:40 (NASB95)
40 “As when God overthrew Sodom And Gomorrah with its neighbors,” declares the LORD, “No man will live there, Nor will any son of man reside in it.
Until today, those ancient cities were never rebuilt and remain desolate as a mute testimony that no man would ever live there nor reside in those charred cities again! They are an example of God’s judgment upon those who rebel against God’s laws and engaged in the sin of sodomy, which is a sin against the nature (of which God created).
