Preparing For End-Time Events
Revelation 1:1–3 (NASB95)
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John,
2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
The bible predicts a number of worldwide disasters that are related to the coming End-Time Events. The book of Daniel in the Old Testament and the book of Revelation in the New Testament are the primary sources of biblical end-time prophecy which reveal coming future events. The scriptures above say that those who will read and hear these prophetic words (recorded in the book of Revelation) will be blessed by God. The words “the time is near” have been confirmed by the events which are currently transpiring upon the earth. These events are indicators that the end times are now extremely close to fulfillment. It is therefore not unreasonable to begin preparations for the end-time events which have been predicted in the bible.
Inhabitants of the Earth will Face a Time of Testing
Revelation 3:10 (NIV)
10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.
The scripture above makes reference to the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. It will be at this time that people will be forced to choose either for or against God and those who survive what is coming must make a determined stand for the Lord. There will be no middle ground as every human will be forced to make a choice. If they deny Christ they will be eternally damned but if they remain steadfast in their loyalty to the Lord then they will achieve eternal life.
Believers Who Patiently Endured in Their Faith Will be Kept from the Time of Testing
However, there is a group of people on earth who are noted as having kept the Lord’s command to endure patiently. These people are the ones who will be kept from the hour of trial that is coming to test the inhabitants of the earth. Those who have endured patiently (without wavering) in their faithfulness to the Lord will be part of the group of people that is counted worthy to escape the coming time of worldwide testing that will affect everyone else on earth to see if they will choose for or against the Lord. Those that have been patently enduring for the Lord (before this time of testing comes) are those who will be allowed to escape the hour of trial. God will keep this special group of dedicated people safe in a place of separation to himself.
Isaiah 26:20–21 (ESV)
20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the fury has passed by.
21 For behold, the LORD is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed on it, and will no more cover its slain.
The scripture above speaks of those people who endured patiently and who determined remain faithful to the Lord. This group of people are God’s people and God speaks to them and tells them that they should enter their chambers and shut the doors behind themselves. They are to hide themselves during the time of God’s judgment until God’s fury has passed by.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 (HCSB)
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
The scripture above teaches us that God did not appoint the believers to his wrath but to obtain salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
John 3:36 (HCSB)
36 The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life; instead, the wrath of God remains on him.
The believers have escaped from the wrath of God by believing in the Son of God (Jesus the Christ). These have eternal life and are not appointed to wrath. But those who refuse to believe in the Son of God will not see eternal life and the wrath of God remains on them. It is for this reason that God has said that those who believe upon the Lord and have remained faithful and steadfast will be kept from the time of testing that is coming upon the whole earth. To these believers God says to enter their chambers and shut the door while the wrath of God is poured out upon the ungodly and all those evil people who break God’s laws and live in wickedness.
Building a Refuge System for God’s Faithful
Consider the following biblical facts:
- God has promised to keep the faithful from the coming time of trial on earth. (Rev. 3:10)
- Believers are not appointed to God’s wrath. (1 Thess. 5:9)
- God speaks to his faithful and tells them to enter their inner chambers and close the door behind them so as to be hidden in a “safe place” during the time that God’s judgment is poured out upon the wicked of the earth. (Isaiah 26:20-21)
In light of the above biblical facts, it is evident that building a self-sufficient refuge system is something that is in line with the principles of God’s word. How else could they enter into their inner chambers for safety (when ordinary “surface built” houses would not withstand the coming divine judgments of God)? God’s people need a place that is resistant to disasters and something that is subsurface to a depth that it is safe even from great disasters (such as massive hail storms or meteor strikes and fire falling from heaven)! All of these things can be mitigated using the technology we are developing for building an underground self-sufficient living system.
Types of Disasters Coming During the End-Times
The following discourse reveals some of the disasters that are predicted by biblical prophecy and following each of these disasters we show how our system is created to deal with them.
Revelation 2:10 (NASB95)
10 ‘Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Notice that the devil was about to cast some of the believers into prison. These people targeted for incarceration are probably those who have not made any advance preparations and therefore they have no “safe-place” to go when the end-time events begin to transpire on earth. It is also clear that the devil operates through the agency of evil men upon the earth. Typically the human population living within large cities are at greater risk of facing persecution of an antichrist world government. Also those in large population centers have the threat of “population density” with millions of desperate people all fighting over the remaining food and water supplies and what little other resources are left in the city. It is at such a time as this that urbanite people will be sorted by evil rulers (under threat of death to deny Christ and accept the mark of the antichrist). It is far better for families to relocate to the most remote region on earth (such as Siberia) so as to escape what is sure to come upon the world’s large population centers first. The devil will use evil men to cast those who refuse to comply with the dictates of the antichrist into prison. They could suffer torture and other methods of pressure to get them to deny Christ. Better to be far away from such a bad situation before these things transpire on earth.
Therefore, making advanced preparations for our refuge would include preparing defenses against the evil humans (like liberals) who are under the influence and control of Satan. It is better to be below ground level so that people are not as easy to spot by surface surveillance accomplished by the use of drone or satellite or aircraft.
Revelation 2:11 (NASB95)
11 ‘He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death.’
Believers are required to overcome during the coming time of persecution and trial on earth. If they can overcome then they will not be hurt by the second death. But at the same time, God promised those who are faithful and who endure will be kept from the time of trial. The best way to do this is within a subsurface underground refuge system.
In fact, during the time of the Roman persecution millions of believers were killed for their faith. This same type of thing will again occur during the coming end-times when all those who are godly will be targeted for culling. But during the Roman persecution believers were able to create underground cities (in what is now part of present-day Turkey). These underground cities had food storage facilities and mangers for livestock and fresh water wells inside and ventilation shafts to the surface for fresh air. They also had defenses such as round doors made of stone (that weight tons) which could be used to quickly seal out intruders if they came under attack. If believers created their own safe havens thousands of years ago (using only hand tools) then how much more can we create an advanced place of refuge for believers using modern technology. Today we can recreate sunlight underground and have a food production system underground and also utilize hydroelectric power generation to create electric power. This is a way to create a modern safe-haven that far surpasses the underground cities built thousands of years ago by believers in what is now present-day Turkey.
Disaster of War
Revelation 6:4 (NASB95)
4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.
War is part of the end-time events and no one will be safe anywhere on the surface of the whole earth. Peace will be removed from the earth and the result is that men will slay one another.
Food Scarcity and Famine
Revelation 6:5–6 (NASB95)
5 When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.”
It is predicted that there will be food scarcity and this can occur by war stopping food production. Also as an example of how current events are already headed in this direction, there are liberals who are seeking to shut-down food production because they falsely believe the world is overpopulated and therefore want to starve out humans by cutting off their food supply. In Sri Lanka the country went into famine after their political leaders followed the advice of liberals to ban fertilizer. The food production immediately dropped by over 50% when this happened. Also liberals in the Netherlands also sought to close down agriculture (stopping food production for humans). This is because godless liberals hate humans and want to cull the human population on earth so they can save the earth! See the link “Netherlands Closes Farms” for more details.
Therefore it is not surprising that the bible predicts great worldwide famines occurring in the end-times. Already godless liberals seek to destroy human food supplies now and later (when they achieve world-control) then food scarcity will grow increasingly worse. Already current events point toward what is coming in the yet future end times.
Decimation of Human Population by Sword, Famine and Plague
Revelation 6:8 (NASB95)
8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Death will become rampant among the earth’s population as people die from war and from famine and from pestilence. Typically war disrupts food production then this causes human starvation and in weakened conditions people will be susceptible to the spread of plagues. All of this is going to occur on the surface of the whole earth. This is all the more reason why we should build and self-sufficient living system that can produce food and energy and products needed to sustain human life indefinitely. Then we can preserve God’s faithful just as the believers in the underground cites (found in present-day Turkey) escaped destruction at the hands of the Romans.
Note also that wild beasts will become man-eaters so possibly bears and wolves in northern regions and lions and leopards and hyenas on the African continent or jaguars in Latin America will become hostile to humans and seek to devour them. Again, this is another good reason to live within a secured underground refuge system when all of this chaos is occurring over the entire face of the earth.
Massive Earthquakes on Surface of Earth
Revelation 6:12–14 (NASB95)
12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;
13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind.
14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
There will be massive earthquakes that affect the whole surface of the earth. This has been predicted by biblical prophecy and earthquakes are just one of the disasters that will increase during the time of God’s judgement.
Tunnels Are Safe During Earthquakes

On a positive note, Elon Musk shares how earthquakes are primarily an surface occurrence and tunnels underground are the safest place to be during an earthquake. This is good news for our people and is yet one more reason why having a subsurface refuge system is a good idea because it has an increased chance of survival (even from great earthquakes that effect the whole surface of the earth). Revelation 8:7 (NASB95)
7 The first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.
The bible predicts that great hail stones will strike the earth and fire will be mixed together with these falling projectiles. This sounds like a hail storm of fiery meteors similar to the meteor of burning sulfur that struck Sodom and Gomorrah long ago and burned everything up. Whatever type of disaster that is being described, it would be good to have an underground refuge that is safe from the impact of huge hail stones and is safe from the burning fire that will consume one-third of the earth’s surface.
Huge Meteor Strikes the Oceans
Revelation 8:8–9 (NASB95)
8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood,
9 and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.
Something huge as a mountain will strike the sea (possibly something like a great meteor) and this could also trigger tsunami waves to hit every country. The best place to be during such a disaster is to be within an underground sealed tunnel system (which cannot be washed away like surface infrastructure will be during a great tsunami).
Drinking Water Becomes Toxic to Humans
Revelation 8:10–11 (NASB95)
10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters.
11 The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.
It would be good to have our own water source that is not open to the surface so that our water supply is resistant to introduced outside toxins. A time will come when a third of the fresh water on earth will be made toxic for humans to drink.
Sun becomes Darkened
Revelation 8:12 (NASB95)
12 The fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way.
Again, it is an advantage to be underground and to have technology that can recreate sunlight because a time is coming with the actual sun will be darkened and this will have drastic effect upon those left on the surface of the earth.
Spiritual Plague of Angelic Creatures Tormenting Ungodly Humans
Revelation 9:2–6 (NASB95)
2 He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
5 And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man.
6 And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them.
Again, it will be good for faithful believers to have an underground chamber to retreat to while the wrath of God is poured out upon the wicked of the earth. The wicked will be in so much pain of torment from angelic plagues that they will wish to die but death will evade them.
Financial System Controlled by the Antichrist
Revelation 13:16–17 (NASB95)
16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead,
17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.
The antichrist will require the world’s population to receive a mark (probably a computer chip) and no one without that mark will be able to buy or sell. So they will be cut off from food and everything if they do not comply with the dictates of the antichrist (who will demand to be worshipped like a god). This is yet another reason why having a self-sufficient living system underground (which can produce its own food and energy) will give God’s faithful a means of escape so that they cannot be controlled by the antichrist. Thus God-fearing families will be able to live outside of the financial system setup by the antichrist which is designed to control all humans on the surface of the earth.
Tested by Threat of Beheading
Revelation 20:4 (NASB95)
4 Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Those who refuse to worship the beast or his image and refused to receive the mark of the beast on their forehead or hands will be beheaded. Death is the penalty for refusing to comply with the dictates of the antichrist. Therefore having a self-sufficient living system in a remote region of Siberia Russia is a good thing so that God’s faithful will not have to be abused and tortured and beheaded for their faith.
Current Events Speak of What is Coming
Revelation 22:15 (NASB95)
15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying.
Outside of God’s heavenly city will be the lake of fire where ungodly people will be tormented forever. The first on the list of these wicked people destined for judgment are those called the “dogs” (which is a Hebrew-term for “homosexual” due to the “dog-like” anal-sex which these perverts engage in). As a sign of the times, all of the western nations are currently pushing for the legalization of sodomy and are also enforcing the indoctrinating of children in school with this perversion. So the first on the list to be cast into eternal torment will be the “dog” or sodomites. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this same sin (using burning sulfur) which turned the cities of these wicked people to ashes (with liquid fire)! This sin of sodomy is the “Fulness of Sin” which brings God’s judgement as wicked people forsake the natural use of a woman and burn with lust for perverted same-sex relations. Again, it should be noted that God is coming to execute judgment upon the wicked who break all of his laws. The current craze of liberal western nations promoting sodomy is an indication that the whole world is headed toward the end-times. This is also evidence why godly people who fear God and keep God’s commands should prepare in advance a refuge system for the preservation of themselves and their families from the judgement that is about to come to the wicked of the earth. This provides the “secure chamber” in which godly people can enter during a time of great crisis upon the whole earth.
