Satanic Entities
Isaiah 14:12 (AMP)
12 How have you fallen from heaven, O light-bringer and daystar, son of the morning! How you have been cut down to the ground, you who weakened and laid low the nations [O blasphemous, satanic king of Babylon!]
The Amplified Bible woman attaches a lengthy footnote to the above scripture arguing why she thinks the name Lucifer is not speaking about Satan but rather refers to the king of Babylon instead. She further inserts her opinion by attaching the same idea in parenthesis within her scripture translation as seen above.
But the problem here is that this woman is not a Fivefold Bible Teacher who has revelation beyond just that of an intellectual level as is commonly used by theologians in a seminary. The name of Lucifer has been traditionally associated with Satan but in fact this tradition is accurate! Satan has many names and he is a deceiver and accuser and called a serpent and dragon and the name Lucifer is one of his names.
2 Corinthians 11:14 (NASB)
14 No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
The name Lucifer is related to light or day-star and the Apostle Paul says it is no wonder that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Paul could have accurately said that Lucifer disguises himself as an angel of light because this would also be an accurate translation because “Lucifer” means “Light” just as Day-star is related to light and son of the morning is related to light. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and so Lucifer is a fitting name for this demonic entity!
Luke 10:18 (NKJV)
18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Jesus said that when Satan was expelled from heaven and was cast down to the earth that he fell like a streak of lighting from heaven! Again, the appearance of light in the form of lighting illustrates that the name “Lucifer” can be applied to Satan without conflict.
Both Apostle Paul and Jesus have no problem with relating the name “Lucifer” to the devil because Lucifer means “Light” or Day-Star!
The problem with the Amplified woman translator is that she is unfamiliar with the law of double-reference. When there is a ruler on earth who is controlled by and influenced by the devil then he will take on the characteristics and behavior of the devil. The law of double-reference means that the scripture can refer to both the demonic entity and the natural human ruler who is influenced by this demonic spirit!
Isaiah 14:12-17 (NKJV)
12 “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!
13 For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’
15 Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.
16 “Those who see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms,
17 Who made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of his prisoners?’
The scriptures above list the five “I’s” of Lucifer and this provides an insight into character of the devil who is full of pride. Lucifer said that he would ascend into heaven and exalt himself above everyone else and sit in the place of highest honor and ascend above the heights of the clouds and be like the Most High God! That is full of pride and self-exaltation and this is something this is common among those who are influenced by the devil. Demonic people take on the same arrogant attitude of self-exaltation. Lucifer was not content with his high position in heaven but wanted to be equal with God!
The scriptures above display the pride of Lucifer who wanted to exalt himself above everyone in heaven and become like the Most High God! The five “I’s” of self-exaltation are evident in the words of Satan. These are:
1. I will ascend to heaven!
2. I will raise my throne above the stars of God!
3. I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north!
4. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds.
5. I will make myself like the Most High God!

It is no wonder that an earthly pagan king (who is influenced by Satan) should take on the same arrogant attitude of self-exaltation as the devil.
In fact, Satan has always sought to influence ungodly men who are in authority so that they will fulfill the agenda of Satan on the earth!
John 10:10 (NASB)
10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Jesus said that the agenda of Satan is to steal and kill and destroy. If Satan can influence an ungodly leader to fulfill his agenda, then that man will also kill and steal and destroy. This is evident in the lives of men like Adolph Hitler who threw the whole world into war. Mussolini and Stalin and Mao also killed millions of their own people. World wars have stolen peace and caused poverty and famine and plague and millions of human lives perished and trillions of dollars’ worth of damage occurred. During wartime wealth was pillaged and millions of women were raped and widows and orphans multiplied in huge numbers. All of this has the signature of Satan which is to steal and kill and destroy on the earth and bring misery and death to humans. Satan hates God and his best way to cause God pain is to destroy humans who are the object of God’s love. Satan brings about all of his misery and death on earth by influencing wicked men who are in authority to fulfill his agenda of evil.
Ezekiel 28:12-18 (NKJV)
12 “Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
14 “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.
16 “By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones.
17 “Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you.
18 “You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.
The scriptures above speaks of the King of Tyre who was is a natural man the same as the king of Babylon was also a human. But it is obvious from these scriptures that they are referring to someone who is not human. The scriptures say that he was in Eden the garden of God. But the king of Tyre lived thousands of years after the time of Adam so this could not be referring to a natural man. Satan is an eternal being and this means he does not die of old age but has been influencing humans to do evil since the day that he was cast out of heaven. Satan is still alive in this present time and he is the one who influences all of the evil that takes place on the earth. It was Satan who entered the Garden of Eden to tempt Eve to take the forbidden fruit tempting Eve that she could become equal with God. The same devil that was present in the Garden of Eden was also present to influence the king of Tyre thousands of years later because Satan is an eternal spirit being and does not die of old age like humans do.
The scriptures also speak of Lucifer being in heaven on the holy mountain of God. This could not be referring to a natural man who has no access to these places in heaven. But Satan did have access to heaven because Satan was once a minister of music in heaven and led worship before God.
Ezekiel 28:13 (KJV)
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
The KJV says that the musical instruments (tabrets and pipes) were created in Lucifer when he was created so he was a spirit being with musical instruments created within him for the purpose of leading worship music in heaven.
All of these things show that these scriptures are not referring to a natural human on earth.
Satan was cast out of heaven because he was corrupted by pride because of his great beauty and exalted position in heaven. He wanted to become equal with God and so he was cast down to the earth because of his sin of pride and self-exaltation. Jesus was present to witness this expulsion.
Luke 10:18 (NKJV)
18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
Jesus said that He saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Apparently, this angel of light (Satan) made a streak of light like a falling meteor as he plummeted toward earth during his expulsion!
Revelation 12:3-4 (NASB)
3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.
4 And his tail *swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child.
Satan is also referred to as a dragon and the scripture above says that his tail swept a third of the stars from heaven and threw them to the earth. This means that Satan was in charge over one-third of God’s angels in heaven. When Satan was cast out of heaven then all of those angels under his command were also cast out with him.
Revelation 12:7-9 (NASB)
7 And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war,
8 and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
It was Michael the archangel who fought against Satan and his angels in heaven and the devil and his angels were defeated and cast out of heaven to the earth. The fallen angels under the command of Satan have become demons. Demons seek to influence people for evil and tempt them to sin and carry out the evil agenda of the devil on the earth. Jesus often encountered demons and cast them out of demon-possessed people. In countries where idol worship is rampant, the demonic influence is great and demon possession in commonplace. Those who worship idols are in fact worshiping demons because the demons follow the nature of Satan who wants to receive the worship that belongs to God alone. So, when idol worshipers bow before their idols it is the demons who come to receive that misplaced worship.
1 Corinthians 10:19-22 (NASB)
19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.
21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?
When an idol worshiper offers sacrifice to an idol that person is in fact sacrificing to demons rather than to God. Idol worship brings a curse to any nation because it is demon worship and demons bring everything that is evil to a nation like poverty, disease and natural disasters.
Deuteronomy 32:16-17 (NASB)
16 “They made Him jealous with strange gods; With abominations they provoked Him to anger.
17 “They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they have not known, New gods who came lately, whom your fathers did not dread.
Whenever anyone sacrifices food or burns incense before idols or bows down to them then this is sacrificing to demons. Demons are fallen angels and they are invisible spirit beings. The sad fact of the matter is that many theologians do not even believe in demons and therefore when they translate scriptures they will boldly (and mistakenly) declare that certain scriptures are referring to humans not to demons.
The king of Babylon and the king of Tyre and many potentates that lived on earth since the time of Adam have been influenced by demons to fulfill the agenda of the devil. In the time of Queen Esther, the evil ruler Haman was promoted to a place of influence under the king of Babylon and this man formulated a plan to exterminate every Jew on earth. Jewish people are God’s chosen people and so Satan has always tried to destroy them throughout world history.
Revelation 12:17 (NASB)
17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus.
The woman in the scripture above represents the Jewish race who gave birth to the Jewish Messiah who is Yeshua or Jesus. Jesus was a Jew and He was born of the Jewish race and Satan holds a grudge against the Jews for this reason. Satan even tried to kill Jesus when He was born by influencing King Herod to send soldiers to Bethlehem to kill every male child of two years and under in that region. It was a plot of Satan to kill Jesus as soon as he was born!
Also Satan influenced the King of Egypt in the time of Moses to order that all Israelite baby boys should be destroyed by drowning them in the Nile River. This was a satanic attempt to exterminate the Jewish race because if there were no more Jewish men then the Jewish race would go extinct and there would be no possibility of a Messiah being born.
Throughout world history Satan has always been trying to exterminate the Jews. Adolph Hitler exterminated over 6 million Jews during WWII. There have been pogroms (organized Jewish massacres) and mob persecutions in every country on earth. All of these things are influenced by Satan who moves the unbelievers to fulfill his satanic agenda on earth to destroy God’s chosen people.
Genesis 3:15 (NASB)
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, and you shall bruise him on the heel.”
Satan is represented by the serpent in the Garden of Eden and he tempted Eve to reach out for equality with God. This is the exact same sin that Satan himself was expelled from heaven for doing! There is enmity between the seed of the woman and the seed of the devil who are unbelievers. Anyone who is not spiritually regenerated is a child of the devil and they carry out the agenda of their father the devil who is Satan. Children of the devil will typically be in enmity with children of God as they fulfill the agenda of Satan on the earth. The seed of the woman speaks of Jesus who was born of the Jewish race so Satan has always had enmity against the Jewish people for this reason.
John 8:44 (NASB)
44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Jesus said that the religious leaders were of their father the devil and they fulfilled the desires of their father who is Satan. Anyone who is not born again is a child of the devil and as such they carry out and fulfill the agenda of the devil on earth. The religious leaders repeatedly sought to have Jesus killed and they were doing so under the influence of Satan who is their father.
Luke 22:2-6 (NASB)
2 The chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.
3 And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.
4 And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them.
5 They were glad and agreed to give him money.
6 So he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the crowd.
Satan entered into Judas and caused this man to betray Jesus to be killed. Satan was constantly trying to kill Jesus and even killed many Jews before Jesus was born trying to stop the birth of the Jewish Messiah. Satan does his killing by influencing evil men to carry out his agenda on earth.
So according to the law of double-reference the scriptures will often speak of both a demonic principality and the natural human ruler that is being influenced by this demonic spirit being.
Ephesians 6:12 (NASB)
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The Apostle Paul said that their struggle was not against natural human rulers made of flesh and blood. The struggle of the believer is against spiritual rulers and demonic powers and world forces of darkness and spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. This means that Satan (and the demons under his command) seek to influence humans to fulfill their agenda on earth. They are in the heavenly places in the earth’s atmosphere and they often rule over cities and influence human rulers to do their will.
Revelation 2:12-13 (NASB)
12 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The One who has the sharp two-edged sword says this:
13 ‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold fast My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
At one time Satan set up his spiritual throne in the atmosphere above a place called Pergamum. Antipas a faithful believer was martyred here and it is no surprise that Satan influenced ungodly men to kill someone who was a faithful witness to the Lord. Satan makes war against those who keep the law (law-keeping Jews) and those who hold to the testimony of Jesus (born again Gentiles who believe in the Jewish Messiah who is Yeshua or Jesus). It was mostly the law-keeping Jews who were targeted during the Nazi holocaust for extermination. During the Roman persecution thousands of Gentile believers were martyred and killed by Gladiators in games or fed to lions or murdered in numerous ways. The same Romans expelled all Jews from Rome just as later Spain and England and other nations also expelled Jews. Thousands of Jews also perished when Roman legions destroyed Jerusalem. All of this points to Satan who makes war against those who keep the laws of God and those who hold to the testimony of believing in Yeshua or Jesus as Messiah. Satan influences kings and rulers to use their authority and military might to destroy those who love God. It has happened throughout world history and continues to happen in present times.
Theologians who translate the scriptures using only tools of grammar and syntax and other intellectual tools often do not see the big picture principles that are evident in the whole bible. It takes a Fivefold Ministry Bible Teacher to see the spiritual revelation of how all of these principles fit together. The same biblical principles are confirmed from Genesis to Revelation and there is no discrepancy or disagreement when taken with a big-picture point of view. When theologians are arguing about one detail or one word of a verse, they often miss the big-picture principles behind what these verses are trying to communicate and that is how they fall into error.
Bible revelation is not found in intellectual study but comes from the Fivefold Ministry Gift of Bible Teacher which reveals the principles behind the scriptures.
Nehemiah 8:8 (NASB)
8 They read from the book, from the law of God, translating to give the sense so that they understood the reading.
In the time of Nehemiah, the Levites stood up and read the law of God and they gave the sense so that the people could understand what was being read. The Old Testament Levites are direct counterparts of the New Testament Fivefold Ministry Gifts. Under the New Testament the Fivefold Ministry Gifts are used to impart spiritual revelation to the people. It is specifically the gift of Bible Teacher that is given for this purpose. A Bible Teacher can impart spiritual revelation and give the meaning so that the layman can understand what the word of God is saying.
It is the big-picture that gives the true meaning of the bible rather than word studies or verse studies that focus only on a fragment of the scriptures. Such fragmented study or fragmented translation only generates controversy as they produce false translations or false doctrines that are in conflict with many other scriptures in the bible. If taken as a whole, the verses will be in agreement with the general biblical principles found throughout the entire bible. This is how a believer knows if a bible translation or a bible doctrine is correct. Both translations and doctrines should be in agreement with the whole body of revelation found in the complete bible.
