Nurturing Environment of Prosperity and Peace

The entire reason and purpose behind our “civilization building project” is to nurture an environment of prosperity and peace (so that our members can increase and thrive in unhindered manner). Such an environment is conducive to raising families because our members will all have a good hope for their future. Such a positive situation is such that parents will want to procreate and bring children into the world who will have better opportunities to thrive and prosper than what their parents had experienced before them. Even if a person grew up in hard times, they can work diligently if they have a good hope that their children can experience better times that they had themselves. Each generation can be more prosperous than the one before it. Each new generation can utilize the inheritance given to them by their forefathers to increase and build a better situation than what the past generations experienced before them.

It should be noted that David was a man of war and during his lifetime he had to fight many wars. He however won the peace (by war) that his son Solomon needed to build a prosperous nation. It is not possible to build a prosperous nation if the country is overrun by pirates and bandits and if anarchy reigns. Only after these abusers and exploiters are eradicated then can any nation begin the process of nation building.

This can be seen in the life of the late South Korean president Park, Chung Hee who began as a warrior. He received military training in Japan (using the opportunity to prepare himself as a warrior) so he could serve his own country of South Korea. He then planned ahead and understood that the previous two presidents of South Korea were doing nothing to help his country and people escape poverty and misery. It is for this reason that Park, Chung Hee planned ahead with strategic military planning to seize control away from the incompetent leaders that were serving before him. This may sound evil to seize control by force (under a military coup) but the fact remains that President Park, Chung Hee caused a tenfold increase in the income of his citizens shows during his reign. This shows that he had the best intentions for his people in mind. Such a military coup was not conducted for enriching himself as a so-called “despot leader” but rather this action was taken to help his own people and to deliver them from the poverty caused by incompetent leadership that ruled before him.

See the link “Strong Leader verses Dictator” for more details.

It should be noted that those who scream “Dictator” the loudest are often those who only want to shame a good leader out of office so that they can take over the same position for themselves. But a bad leader can be compared to a gangbanger who rules only for himself. In the lesson link given above, the South Korean president Park, Chung Hee (who served his country and his citizens) is compared to the North Korean dictators (who served only themselves).

Men are Known by Their Fruit

Matthew 7:17–18 (NASB95)
17 “So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 “A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.

Jesus said that every good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit and so a tree is discerned by the fruit that it produces. A tree that is good cannot produce bad fruit and a tree that is bad cannot produce good fruit. The leadership of North Korean and South Korea is a good example of this. Three successive generations of the Kim dynasty of North Korea produced nothing beneficial for the people. They build fences and lay mine fields to keep their people from escaping the poverty and misery of that nation. There is a huge difference in building a fence to keep people from flooding into a prosperous nation and building a fence to keep people from escaping a miserable one.

A real dictator is known by his bad fruit because he will employ a strong military and police force to oppress and enslave his people and crush any dissidents who might threaten his throne. But a good leader will employ a strong police and military to protect their own people so they can live and prosper in peace without being plundered by outside forces.

So, an evil dictator leader can be compared to a gangbanger who seizes a territory by force and uses violence to remain in control of it. They extract so-called “taxes” or “protection money” from anyone unfortunate enough to be living within their jurisdiction of control. But these so-called “taxes” are no taxes at all but only extortion money that goes directly to the gang leader who controls that neighborhood or region. Gang leaders spend all that they have on alcohol, tobacco, drugs and prostitutes, saving only enough money for defense against any other outside gang leaders who might want to dethrone them. The main point to see here is that a gang leader gives nothing in return for the extortion money he forces from the people. He builds no roads or infrastructure and no schools and nothing that can help the people whom he lords over.

Comparing the North Korean dictatorship to South Korea during the reign of President Park, Chung Hee, North Korean builds nothing for helping their citizens. A nighttime satellite image shows that only the city (where the dictator lives) has lights, while the rest of the nation is largely left in total darkness. Dictators only serve themselves at the expense of the people and they view the citizens as livestock to be milked or devoured. Again, see the link “Strong Leader verses Dictator” for more details.

Civil Leader Compared to a Shepherd

Psalm 78:70–72 (NASB95)
70 He also chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 From the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.
72 So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them with his skillful hands.

Often the scriptures use the analogy of a shepherd and compare this role to a man who is a civil leader. In the case of David, he was a shepherd from his youth and learned how to care for natural “four-legged” sheep. But later when David become a civil leader, he employed the same care for his human “two-legged” sheep as he did with the natural “four-legged” sheep.

The scripture given above speaks of caring for the ewes with suckling lambs. The idea given here is that if the sheep are given a good environment of lust grass and still clean waters and have protection from predators, then they can prosper and increase. The same principles however also apply to human “sheep” under a good civil leader who cares for his citizens (in the manner that the late president Park, Chung Hee cared for his South Korean citizens).

A good leader will have the foresight to create an environment where is citizens are free to prosper. Again, it should be noted that under the leadership of former President Park, Chung Hee, that the income of the South Koreans increased tenfold and the prosperity of South Korea has continued to increase until this present time (long after the death of Park, Chung Hee). This means that he established an economic system that could be expanded by the following generations so that each successive generation can be more prosperous than the one that existed before it. This prosperity has the potential to continue as long as no “thornbush” type of leader takes over. See the link “Thornbush Leaders and Freeloaders” for more details.

In the lesson “Thornbush Leaders and Freeloaders” the examples given show that a “thornbush leader” seeks to cull any competition only to keep themselves in a position of control. Civil leaders who use police and military to crush competition are generally of this type of “thornbush leader” but the final test is to see if the people are increasing or if only the dictator and his immediate staff are the only one’s prospering. Park, Chung Hee stopped “would-be” dissidents from seizing power so that they could not disrupt the program effected by President Park, Chung Hee for nation building. It is the fruit of results that can distinguish a strong leader from a dictator, who only rules for himself. President Park, Chung Hee caused this people to prosper while the civil leaders before him only served themselves.

David Was a Protector

1 Samuel 17:34–37 (NASB95)
34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock,
35 I went out after him and attacked him, and rescued it from his mouth; and when he rose up against me, I seized him by his beard and struck him and killed him.
36 “Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted the armies of the living God.”
37 And David said, “The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the LORD be with you.”

When David served as a shepherd, he was a protector of the sheep. When a lion or bear tried to snatch a lamb from the flock then David boldly went after it to save the sheep. When the lion or bear attempted to attack David then he was able to successfully kill these large predators (even without a modern rifle). David saw the situation with the giant in the same way. Defending the people of Israel in time of war is the same as defending his sheep in the pasture from predators. If the enemy conquered the people, then they would become enslaved and plundered. So, by defeating the enemy David won peace for his people Israel.

People can only prosper if they have peace because if the fruit of their labor is seized by enemies, they cannot increase but will starve to death. No nation building can occur until peace is won by war and the national defense is strong enough to deter would-be invaders. If the nation is weak and undefended, they will soon be destroyed and plundered by outside forces.

Danites Plunder the Undefended

Judges 18:1 (NASB95)
1 In those days there was no king of Israel; and in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking an inheritance for themselves to live in, for until that day an inheritance had not been allotted to them as a possession among the tribes of Israel.

In the time of Judges, there was no king and everyone did what was right in their own eyes. At this time the Danites were seeking a place for an inheritance for themselves.

Judges 18:7–10 (NASB95)
7 Then the five men departed and came to Laish and saw the people who were in it living in security, after the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was no ruler humiliating them for anything in the land, and they were far from the Sidonians and had no dealings with anyone.
8 When they came back to their brothers at Zorah and Eshtaol, their brothers said to them, “What do you report?”
9 They said, “Arise, and let us go up against them; for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good. And will you sit still? Do not delay to go, to enter, to possess the land.
10 “When you enter, you will come to a secure people with a spacious land; for God has given it into your hand, a place where there is no lack of anything that is on the earth.”

At that time there was a group of people living in northern Israel in a city called Laish. These people were living in security in a quiet and secure manner and had no ruler humiliating them. They lived in a spacious land that was fruitful and productive and lacked nothing. These were a prosperous people in a productive well-watered land but they had established no defenses for themselves. This group of people did not even have a military alliance with anyone else for their protection in the event war. So, these defenseless people were like “sitting-ducks” just waiting to be plundered.

This biblical example of the citizens of Laish in the time of the Judges illustrates this principle well. They had everything to prosper and increase but lost it all suddenly when they were attacked and destroyed by a well-armed enemy. They were unable to offer any resistance because they did not train for war and had prepared no defenses or weapons. They also did not even create any “defensive alliances” with anyone else. These people were just waiting to be plundered and all of the wealth they created and built up was entirely lost in one day!

Judges 18:27–29 (NASB95)
27 Then they took what Micah had made and the priest who had belonged to him, and came to Laish, to a people quiet and secure, and struck them with the edge of the sword; and they burned the city with fire.
28 And there was no one to deliver them, because it was far from Sidon and they had no dealings with anyone, and it was in the valley which is near Beth-rehob. And they rebuilt the city and lived in it.
29 They called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father who was born in Israel; however, the name of the city formerly was Laish.

So, the Danites destroyed the quiet and secure and prosperous people who did not have enough common-sense to prepare any sort of defenses for themselves. It should be noted that common-sense dictates that humans possess an evil sin nature and so wicked people will not hesitate to plunder and destroy others when they are left with the opportunity to exploit them.

Abraham Created a Military Alliance

Genesis 14:13–14 (NASB95)
13 Then a fugitive came and told Abram the Hebrew. Now he was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, and these were allies with Abram.
14 When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

In the beginning when Abram dwelt within the promised land, he was alone with his family clan. But he did not think he could withstand an organized onslaught against himself. It was for this reason that he formed a military alliance with several other family tribes. Together they could unite and defend themselves in time of war. Abram also trained his own private defense force of 318-soldiers and armed them.

No Wealth Building Without Defense System

The bottom line here is that there can be no lasting “wealth building” until a system of defense has been established. King David spent most of his career fighting wars and destroying numerous enemy armies. The military work that David did in eradicating threats created the national peace utilized by Solomon his successor to build the most prosperous nation on earth. In fact, no nation on earth has ever attained to the level of prosperity that King Solomon had. But this prosperity was only possible during a time of peace when the nation could focus on building wealth and increasing trade and business. All of these things can only exist (without disruption of war) and without pirates and bandits trying to plunder everything that people produce by their own labor. National defense is the foundation of a nation because without it people cannot prosper.

This is the reason that Abram prepared a standing private army of 318-armed soldiers for defending his family clan and for defending the prosperity that they had built up. Abram also created a “defensive alliance” with several other family clans so that they would be strong enough to withstand any other attackers.

Wealth Building Established Upon Defense Structure

Again, we come back to this foundational truth that no “wealth building” enterprises can continue unless they are established based upon a defense structure. All of the labor of the people of Laish was loss when they were all destroyed in a single day and everything, they had was seized by those who plundered them. Modern nations have to know and understand that humans have a sin nature and there are many who will plunder them if they have no defenses prepared. Only those who have strong defenses will create the environment of peace needed to continue with building national prosperity. A strong military is essential in building a prosperous nation for this reason.

Judges 3:1–2 (NASB95)
1 Now these are the nations which the LORD left, to test Israel by them (that is, all who had not experienced any of the wars of Canaan;
2 only in order that the generations of the sons of Israel might be taught war, those who had not experienced it formerly).

It is interesting that God intentionally left a number of adversaries within the land of Israel only so that those who had no former “war experience” would be able to gain needed military expertise. The generations after Joshua did not experience war so the remaining adversaries left within the land of Israel provided them with needed war experience. This is similar to King Solomon who was a man of peace and had no wars during his reign. It is easy for such people to become soft and passive and then lose everything they gained in the next generation. Military training is crucial for this reason because as long as evil men reside on earth there needs to be strong defenses setup. Often strong defense is enough to cause “would-be” exploiters to move-on and look for easier targets. Possibly Abram was like this and did not engage in war (until some bandits made the mistake of kidnapping his relative Lot). Often having a strong prepared defense is enough to thwart any potiential plunderers.

War Experience Keeps Nation Strong

The situation with South Korea is that they are under constant threat of invasion from North Korea and this keeps them active and on edge! This is also similar to modern-day Israel who is also under constant threat of war. But this threat often results in nations become more progressive since they cannot just sit on their laurels (like some passive “hippie-type” of people like those of Laish). Pretending there is no threat ignores reality that evil men will not hesitate to exploit and plunder and destroy others whenever they are given the opportunity.

David the Defender

Psalm 78:70–72 (NASB95)
70 He also chose David His servant and took him from the sheepfolds;
71 From the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him to shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance.
72 So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them with his skillful hands.

Again, it should be noted that God prepared David for becoming a king by training him first as a shepherd who cared for natural sheep. A civil leader should be like a shepherd in this respect. The example of former Korean President Park, Chung Hee is like this because he first trained himself for war by enlisting in the Japanese army to gain the military experience he needed. Then later in the Korean war this military training was helpful to him and served him well in defending his country and also when he rose up to became the first “effective” leader of South Korea.

King David practiced defending natural sheep from lions and bears as a shepherd and then continued to defend his people from giants and oppressors and alien armies that sought to plunder the people of Israel.

1 Chronicles 28:3 (NASB95)
3 “But God said to me, ‘You shall not build a house for My name because you are a man of war and have shed blood.’

King David was called a “man-of-war” because of the frequent wars he fought during his lifetime. His entire life was spent vanquishing the foes of Israel so that by the time his son Solomon assumed the throne then there was lasting peace.

1 Chronicles 17:7–9 (NASB95)
7 “Now, therefore, thus shall you say to My servant David, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, “I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be leader over My people Israel.
8 “I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.
9 “I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, so that they may dwell in their own place and not be moved again; and the wicked will not waste them anymore as formerly,

God took David from following the sheep and made him into a great civil leader over the nation of Israel. David learned to defend the sheep from predators that sought to devour them. In the same way, David also became a great military leader who defended his people Israel from those who were seeking to plunder them. God was with King David to cut off all of his enemies so that by his wars David was able to vanquish their adversaries and purchase peace needed for nation building.

1 Kings 5:3–4 (NASB95)
3 “You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
4 “But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor misfortune.

King Solomon had peace during his reign because his father David (who reigned before him) had destroyed all adversaries surrounding Israel. It should be noted that lasting peace is obtained only by war and by vanquishing the enemies who seek to plunder the nation. All adversaries were put under the feet of David (representing complete conquest) so that David was able to purchase the lasting peace necessary for his Solomon to build prosperity during his following reign. Prosperity is only possible if the enemies are first vanquished so that there is no adversary remaining to plunder the prosperity created by the people.

Again, the example of the people of Laish should be noted here because these people focused on building wealth without regard to establishing any defenses whatsoever. But this tragic oversight resulted in them losing everything (including their lives) when they were conquered by an well-armed adversary. Therefore, no national wealth building can be done without first having a strong defense (otherwise everything that they have will be lost when they are plundered).

King Saul verses King David

1 Samuel 8:10–20 (NASB95)
10 So Samuel spoke all the words of the LORD to the people who had asked of him a king.
11 He said, “This will be the procedure of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and place them for himself in his chariots and among his horsemen and they will run before his chariots.
12 “He will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and of fifties, and some to do his plowing and to reap his harvest and to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots.
13 “He will also take your daughters for perfumers and cooks and bakers.
14 “He will take the best of your fields and your vineyards and your olive groves and give them to his servants.
15 “He will take a tenth of your seed and of your vineyards and give to his officers and to his servants.
16 “He will also take your male servants and your female servants and your best young men and your donkeys and use them for his work.
17 “He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his servants.
18 “Then you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will not answer you in that day.”
19 Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to the voice of Samuel, and they said, “No, but there shall be a king over us,
20 that we also may be like all the nations, that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.”

It should be noted that God let the people have what they demanded and this was a form of punishment for them to end up with a self-serving king who exploited them and took everything they had and used it for his own purposes. King Saul was the first king of Israel and the scripture above describes what King Saul would be like even before he was inaugurated into the position of being the first King of Israel. King Saul represents those who serve only themselves while holding a leadership position as a civil servant.

1 Samuel 18:6–9 (NASB95)
6 It happened as they were coming, when David returned from killing the Philistine, that the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy and with musical instruments.
7 The women sang as they played, and said, “Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands.”
8 Then Saul became very angry, for this saying displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”
9 Saul looked at David with suspicion from that day on.

After David killed the giant, (which Saul had the opportunity to do himself) the women came out of the cities of Israel and sang praises that Saul has slain his thousands but David has slain his ten-thousands. This refrain caused King Saul to be seized with jealously because Saul viewed the kingship as a position to obtain wealth and prestige and power for himself. He did not want anyone to take this lucrative position from him and he felt threatened by David (who actually served Saul with an honest and good heart and pure motives).

Hence the difference between Saul and David is made manifest in that Saul wanted to be king only to be served while David as a king sought to serve others (just as he faithfully served King Saul). This is similar to how the Kim dynasty of North Korea served only themselves for three successive generations, while South Korea increased tenfold under the leadership of President Park, Chung Hee. Those of the Kim dynasty of North Korea served only themselves, while Park, Chung Hee of South Korea (like King David) sought to serve the people. The decisions made by a good leader will result in the increase of the people who follow them while the decisions of a bad leader only result in the personal increase of the leader himself and his staff that serves him.

1 Chronicles 17:11–15 (NASB95)
11 “When your days are fulfilled that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up one of your descendants after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom.
12 “He shall build for Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever.
13 “I will be his father and he shall be My son; and I will not take My lovingkindness away from him, as I took it from him who was before you.
14 “But I will settle him in My house and in My kingdom forever, and his throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”
15 According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.

David was granted a lasting dynasty by God. David’s successor (Solomon) would then utilize the peace purchased by his father David (through wars) to build the nation of Israel and cause it to prosper. Saul was removed from office by God because he was an example of a self-serving civil leader. Saul was then replaced by King David who cared for the people who were under his authority.

1 Kings 4:25 (NASB95)
25 So Judah and Israel lived in safety, every man under his vine and his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

King David purchased national peace (by war) which was needed as a foundation to build national prosperity for Israel in the time of his son Solomon. The nation of Israel then reached its “zenith” of prosperity under Solomon and during this time of peace. This prosperity is reflected in the statement that every Israeli citizen in that time lived in safety and every man under his vine and fig tree from the city of Dan in the north to the utmost reaches of the south in Beersheba. The citizens were all prospered during the reign of King Solomon as reflected by them owning land and having grape vines and fig trees (which represent “producing assets” of the people).

This is a great contrast to the self-serving king like Saul, who took everything from the people and appointed it for his own personal use and for the use of his own servants. After David vanquished the foes of Israel then the nation experienced “unprecedented prosperity” during the following reign of Solomon. This is because they could focus on building prosperity rather than having all of their energy directed only toward making war preparations. When their enemies were completely vanquished then there was great peace and freedom to build wealth.

2 Chronicles 14:6–7 (ESV)
6 He built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest. He had no war in those years, for the LORD gave him peace.
7 And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars. The land is still ours, because we have sought the LORD our God. We have sought him, and he has given us peace on every side.” So, they built and prospered.

During the reign of King Asa, they built up their fortified cities and prepared their defenses because in those years they had no war. They used their time of peace to prepare defenses. Oftentimes it is the simple fact of having a strong defense that can deter future wars because their adversaries are afraid to attack and plunder them when they appear too strong to conquer. It is for this reason that having a strong military can be the best way for a nation to obtain the lasting peace that they need for building prosperity.

South Korea requires mandatory military service from its citizens but in fact this is an essential factor in creating the prosperity which they now have. This is a similar situation to the nation of present-day Israel who also requires mandatory military service of its own citizens. It seems that the threat of war is what empowers the nation of Israel to innovate and overcome and become producers. War keeps them from becoming lazy and passive and this is a factor that distinguishes them from other nations that have grown passive and idle and are now drifting toward mediocracy. There are many fallen empires in past history that have crumbled after they become complacent in their own prosperity. Oftentimes it is the threat of war that can energize the people of any nation to become “overcomers” and to become “producers” only because their own existence is threatened.

Russia and the “Asset” of Isolation

During the Soviet era (and the cold war that spawned from it) Russia became largely “isolated” from the west. Then in 1991, the Soviet Union collapsed and the Russians were left with restarting their nation from scratch and it was no small task required to turn the nation around again. The nation’s industry and private enterprise had all be seized by the communists so after the communists fell from power, there was a left a great vacuum for needed leadership. The country’s economic system was left in shambles after 70-years of communist rule, which banned private ownership of businesses. The only business operations that existed were those in the black market that operated outside of communist rule. These so-called “business leaders” did not pay taxes and so there was no stable government income revenue needed for building infrastructure and roads and schools and everything needed to have an advanced civilization.

Out of all of the chaos in Russia, following the fall of the Soviets in 1991 (and the subsequent failed attempts at leadership attempted by existing politicians in that time) there rose up one strong leader, Vladimir Putin. See the link “Civil Leaders Dealing With Tough Situations” for more details.

Putin has worked to put his nation in order and also reestablish a Christian state after all churches were formerly abolished by the godless soviets. Now godless liberals want to also criminalize Christianity and are fast headed in the same direction as the godless soviets before them. The main reason for liberal western sanctions against Russia is largely because Russia has returned to God again and is fast becoming a premiere Christian nation again.

But the current situation of having all of the western nations sanction Russia, now provides a unique opportunity. Instead of aligning with the godless communist party of China, Russia could create their own living systems which will serve as a “Refuge System” for godly people seeking to escape the coming authoritarian rule of the godless liberals.  These liberal globalists currently seek to create a godless one-world government to rule the world. This has already been predicted within biblical prophecy. See the link “Prophetic Future Events” for more details.

Russian can become the last place of escape from the coming godless authoritarian rule of the one-world government. Russia has all of the vast land space and resources and fresh water and everything needed for civilization building. We can create a new living system that is completely self-sufficient and has no need of trade with the globalist controlled economic system. Therefore, the globalist cannot control or cancel anyone within our system because we will have our own food and energy and food production which can exist without outside trade or commerce. We can therefore engineer our own freedom for our members and their families. We will create a place for Jewish and Christian people who can worship their God freely without persecution or threat of culling by the coming “godless” one-world government. Again, see the link “New Living System in Siberia” for more details.
